Ive been to Disney 10 times already, so Im no newbie to it.. But, usually when we go, its also for a 5-6 days at time.
This year however, we first made plans to go see my parents in the Ft Lauderdale area. I "thought" , hey we have some unused park hopper passes so we can take a couple days and go see Mickey... ::MickeyMo
At first I had planned just 2 nites in the hotel, driving early from Ft Lauderdale in the morning. BUT the more I thought about this, it didnt sound so hot. I mean we were planning on being there June 21, 22.. I know peak times and BIG crowds. So I booked the hotel for an extra night. Really we will arrive the day before on June 20th, then start off fresh on June 21..
Now, we will have park hopper tickets, my kids are 10, 5, and 10 months..(we have never taken a baby to Disney yet, so it should be an experience). We are not real big on Animal Kingdom. Sure its nice, but rather be inthe other parks.
My first stop is always wanted to go to Magic Kingdom, that is MY all time favorite.
My kids also love Epcot and the Studios
What do you think of doing Magic Kingdom..early in the day.. getting in as much as possible, also basing this on babies schedule.,again never been there with a baby, so we will have to play it by ear.. Then going to Epcot later in the day/evening.. There are longer hrs at this time of the year, so i think it will give us more opportunity.
THen on the 2nd day, go to MGM Studios(I know, it has a dift name now)and just playit by ear, see where the older kids want see and do there..
Do you think this is too much planning for 2 days and a baby?
Normally when we have a week there, I never worry about stuff, just feel like Im trying to do too much...Any advice? :flower:

I travelled to Disney when both my children were babies. Aside from not being able to go on wild rides, it wasn't a problem. Babies have the life of riley. They lie in their strollers and make faces at passers by, nobody cares if they slobber on the characters. Make sure to take your own stroller (more comfortable) and something to cover up the opening when baby is sleeping and don't forget sunscreen and a hat to cover up tender skin. If wild rides are important to you there is always baby swap, but it sounds like you will be with a big enough group to always have someone stay off with baby. We took our babies on lots of rides. WDW is so family oriented, it wasn't a problem. Take it easy, remember you are on vacation, this is not the time to be a commando. That said, we always ended up the day at Epcot, for dinner and the fireworks. No problem.

P.S. I can't say enough about having enough diapers. We always left the parks if we put the last one into use. We weren't smart enough then to ask if any stores sold them.

I have found babies to be the easiest at the parks!! My dd #2 is only 3 months old and has been to WDW twice in the past two months.....definitely take plenty of diapers and wipes (never fun running out of wipes!!) sunscreen and I would take the afternoons to go back and nap and enjoy the pool...my dd#1 is 2 1/2, so the break is good for us....your other children are a little bit older so they may not need a break (but I did!!). Also, make a list of your must do attractions and do those first...sometimes we have been in the parks and not gone on any rides, but for us that is ok...
