What to do First Day

I'm arriving on a Friday morning, so I'm guessing I should be at my hotel by noon. There's a MVMCP scheduled for that night at the Magic Kingdom, so I know that park will be closing early for that. I was thinking of going to EPCOT and doing a Candlelight Processional dinner package, but with it being a Friday night, am wondering if the park would be pretty crowded. I have a MYW park hopper pass, so I definitely want to hit a park the first day. I was also thinking of doing MGM, Fantasmic & Osborne Lights that night too.

Which park would you go to & why? Which is going to be most packed on a Friday night? I'm guessing the only nights I'll be able to see Spectro would probably be on Saturdays.

The Fantasmic and Osborne Lights idea, that seems like a good first day agenda with MK closing early. :goodvibes :)

Thanks Danny. I'm just wondering if MGM would be less crowded with MK holding MVMCP and EPCOT holding the CP. Was also thinking of maybe doing Animal Kingdom that day too.

Any one else care to comment?

Where are you staying? The reason I ask is you'll be tired when all of the fun stuff starts.....ie. Fantasmic, Osborne lights and CP. If you're at an Epcot resort, go for the CP. Sit in the back and enjoy. We're headed down 12/3 and
"arrive early", 9:40 AM. Staying at BCV we check-in, rooms not ready, head to MK for a quick hit, come back to BCV around 3:00, get officially checked in and head over to Epcot around 5:00 for a lap and the first CP. Off to the Boardwalk for dinner and then llluminations. Just our 2 cents!

I would not get to a park that had early entry that day, as it will be crowded from the early entry crowds and the regular guests. I usually like to start my trip in AK because it closes earlier than the other parks. Sounds strange but generally I've gotten up a 5:00 am for my flight to MCO so I'm a bit tired my first evening.
Going to MGM would be good, most likely Fantasmic will be around 7:00, you can see Fantasmic and then stroll over the the Osborne lights and it will be a nice way to end your first day.

Was able to secure a great rate that Thursday night to fly into Orlando, so I will now have a full day on Friday.

I'm staying at the Movies and the Friday & Saturday will be the last 2 days of the Pop Warner/Cheerleader thing over at WOS. I looked into possibly upgrading to a moderate, but after being told it would be an additional $600, nixed that idea.

I kinda like the idea of doing Animal Kingdom, as it probably won't be as crowded with most people heading for the MK for EMH. Also, as I'll be getting in pretty late the night before, I can sleep a little knowing the park won't open until probably 10am. I was thinking about hitting 1/2 the park, then head back to the hotel around lunch time, rest, then later in the afternoon head over to MGM to see Fantasmic & the Osborne lights. I thought I'd do the EMH at night for MGM to get in most of the attractions on another night and hit AK another day to finish off what I missed the first day.

I'd like to do the CP package on a week night, as I'm hoping it won't be as crowded during the week, than on the weekend.

The other option is to hit the MK during the EMH, but I'm worried that it will be pretty crowded being a Friday with all the cheerleaders there.
