We are going to WDW next August and expect we will get a few rain storms in the afternoons.

For all you folks who have been during the summer can you tell me what you do during the rain in WDW?

When it rains -

you meet the all the other Brits in the very short ride queues and laugh at everyone in their Mickey ponchos.

Mick

I hope it doesn't rain that much, but if it makes the queues shorter I suppose it has its advantages. It will be my first trip next August and I can't wait.

Hemelman - its a small world really - I come from Berkhamsted originally and pass through Leverstock Green many times on my trips back South.

During our holiday this August, we did not have much rain. We only got the ponchos out twice that I can recall. Sometimes it rained while we were eating lunch or in shows but had stopped by the time we came out. We only had one very wet day and that was our last day in Bradenton which we had earmarked for a beach day - changed to shopping and the Salvador Dali museum.

Sooo funny - you need to just get on with it and make sure you're all wearing shorts to boot as well just so everyone really knows that you're British ;)

Janice - are you the only shopper here to have voted so far ?? ;);)

Rain is nothing.......something of an everyday occurence in the West of Scotland so we are used to it..........

Just carry on regardless............

last june we had rain more days than we didn't, and we just donned our ponchos and got on with it. I would suggest buying a decent poncho though, we had the 99cent Walmart one's "just in case" and ended up wearing them for most of the fortnight, I was wishing for a higher quality poncho ny about day 3, but since we had ponchos' we couldn't see the point in buying new ones.

we did buy some nice mickey umbrella's and that made a big difference, it's nice to have the rain off your head.

the other thing I would suggest is don't wear trainers in the rain, one day in Epcot we got drenched and then the sun came out later, phil and Katie had sandals on, and they dried very quickly, but my trainers were soggy all day and that was very uncomfortable.
