What to do before Trails End Dinner...

I remember reading about things to do in Fort Wilderness. I thought this would be fun to combine with a trip there to have dinner at Trails End. This would be on an "off" day....we are checking into the ASMO that day and after a swim in the pool I wanted us to head over here for dinner. The only time we have been there was when we walked through to get to River Country in 2000.

I was thinking of renting bikes but now I think I have read that the bike barn may be closed later in the day?

I was thinking of the petting zoo but now I think I have read that it is no longer there?

I know about the bonfire....what time do they start letting the kids make smores...?

I really need to figure this out because I dont know if it would be worth (no insult intended of course) it to take the ride over there if it is just for dinner.

I currently have a 5:30 ADR and was hoping to find things to do for a few hours afterwards.....although it may be wishful thinking I wanted to last until the electric light parade on the lagoon.

Thanks.

for our VWL Sept trip. Things I've read about include:
(see allearsnet.com "Overlooked Attractions" for more details:

1) There is a horse drawn old-fashioned hayride hour long tour.. I've read it departs at 7:00pm and 9:30 nightly. The cost is $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for kids.

2) campfire sing-a-long starts at 7pm

3) movie begins at 7:40pm

There are other activities that would be good for day-light but it sounds like you're looking for after dinner ideas.
