We have booked a vacation for the week of Memorial Day, we have never stayed at SSR. What does it have to offer children? Any creative, fun, and inexpensive ideas for this resort?

Community Hall has daily activities for kids to keep busy. I remember they had the kids making ice cream and towel animals the last time I was there. There's also bikes to rent and of course the pool slide is cool.
There are bikes, surrey bikes, a playground, community hall with lots to play with and things to do. At certain times they have organized crafts going on. The pool has a really cool interactive play area with squirting water. There is also a small slide for the kids in the pool. When we check in my kids love to sit on the mini chairs and watch the tv with Disney cartoons that is in the lobby. When we eat at Artist Point they love coloring and drawing with the table top easels. We like to take a walk over to DtD and the kids love going on the train ride there and carosel as well as shopping and playing by the Lego store. we love SSR and when we were last there the kids didn't want to leave! We'll be back in Nov and we can't wait!
It's been mentioned that on some nights they have shown movies at the Grandstand pool in the evenings. That may be something you want to check out.

My kids loved all of the activities at the community hall. There was always a craft or activity going on. My kids didn't want to go into the parks! We also rented the surreys one morning. They liked the pool, too.
In the afternoons while we were there a few weeks ago they played pool games in the afternoon. They were showing movies at night . . . . one week it was at the main pool, the next week at the Grandstand pool. We stayed in Congress Park so it was a quick walk over to Downtown Disney which we really enjoyed doing frequently.
