What to do at GF while ds is on pirate cruise?

since our kids are doing the pirate adventure on our last day, i will use the time to pack, while dh picks up the car at the dolphin and then we will drive over and get them to head to the airport... i think it's a great way for our children to end their vacation

My daughters 8 & 9 just did the pirate cruise. They loved it! We had no trouble getting from the campgrounds to the GF in time (It certainly didn't take us 90 minutes). In fact we were very early. We took the boat to the CR and transfered to the monorail. It worked out fine. While they were on the cruise we went to the poly to eat at the Kona Cafe ( we had a 10:00 Ps) We ate and had plenty of time to take the monorail back to the GF to pick up the kids. They also gave us a pager to carry with us in case of emergencies. The kids traveled from resort to resort searching for clues to the treasure.

We have breakfast planned at Kona Cafe at 10:00 while DS 4 & 6 are on the Pirate Cruise. Is there a boat that goes from GF to Poly or do you have to take the monorail? Would it be too far to walk? I should know this since we've been to WDW so many times, but I'm just not sure. From what I remember, it's a little too far to walk. Thanks for the info!

There is a boat that goes from the Grand Floridian and Polynesian to the Magic Kingdom. Can't remember in which order. There is also a walkway, that takes you past the Chapel and the lagoon. Not a bad walk at all.
