What to do about quick service meals at the Fort Wilderness Cabins?

We will have the dining plan (regular) and are considering switching resorts to the Fort Wilderness Cabins. Why are there no quick service locations there? We always have a table service reservation for lunch. We either like to use our quick service credit for breakfast before we go to the parks or for dinner after we are back. We are rarely at a park for long enough to need two meals and we don't generally go back in the evenings (very young kids that need to be in bed early). What is someone like us to do?

I'm usually in an RV at Ft Wilderness, but we still do the dining plan. It's been a regular complaint that there's no sit-down counter service in FW ... but so far we just have to make do.

On the plus side, both the Wilderness Lodge and the Contemporary are only a few minutes via boat from the FW dock. Both Roaring Forks and the Contempo Cafe are great counter service spots. I've used many a CS credit at both locations. You can grab breakfast before heading out to the parks, or stop by later for dinner

Was just gonna suggest the same thing, boat to Wilderness Lodge or Contemporary. if you did breakfast, just stop there, eat and go from there to the parks, or stop there on the way back from the parks.

Also, you can go to the Meadows Snack Bar - they have the regular quick service type sandwiches, pizza, etc. Here's the menu:

We switched from the Wilderness Cabins to 2 rooms at POP for precisely this reason... twice!!

Not having a snack bar vs a "full service QS" location may suit the theme, and i understand that the kitchen in the Cabins would seem to indicate that guests would prefer a fix your own meal type setting, but really it would be nice to have more choice.
