first big DVC trip with extended family in a 2BR. As of now, we are driving... I know maid service is at most twice during our stay(SAt to Sat) Is it like staying in a condo on the beach? Should I bring towels, soap, dish det, laundry det, etc...

If you are staying seven nights, on day 4 (with day 1 as check in day), you will have your towels replaced and trash removed. That will be the only visit to your villa by Housekeeping, unless you pay for extra visits.

In a two bedroom villa, you will get eight bath towels, four hand towels and eight face cloths. You will have toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, dish detergent, dishwasher detergent and a single use box of Tide for the clothes washer. You'll want to bring extra laundry detergent and fabric softener or dryer sheets. You will be given a single filter pouch of coffee, so if you are coffee drinkers, bring coffee and filters (basket type). Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner will be provided in small bottles in each bathroom. You may want to bring more of your own. Soap is provided in the bathrooms as well (small bars).

You'll need to provide your own salt, pepper, sugar, sugar substitute if you will be using them.

Not to highjack the thread, but I looked all over the member site as well as a few other sites but I'm unable to find if muffin pans come with a 2BR DVC . Cookie sheets do. Anyone know?

I don't really know. But if you use the foil type baking cups, you can go without the muffin pan.

1BR at SSR - no muffin pan.
