My daughter is 4 and I plan on bringing her Snow White dress so she can dress up if the opportunity comes up. Is there anything I can bring for my son who is 6 so he is not left out? He has a buzz lightyear costume, but that seems like too much. Maybe a disney hat/shirt? Does anyone else bring things like that? This is our first disney cruise and we are so excited!

Disney offers a pirate night on all of it's cruises (althought on the 3 day it is less of a offering, but still fun) How about a Pirate?? pirate:

Our family is considering all dressing up for pirate night!

Oh and.........
WELCOME TO THE DISBOARDS!

I have seen boys dressed as a Pirate, Buzz, Captain hook, and of course most kids have disney shirts, or dresses on. on Pirate night everyone can dress as a pirate, that makes for some great family pictures. If your son wants to dress as Buzz, I say go for it. Especially the first day. Lots of kids dress up for getting on the ship. They do take a family photo before you get on the ship, so it would be a really cute picture if they both were dressed up. I have seen that a lot. They could have shorts on underneath in case they want to change before they get to the room. Lots of younger kids do swim in the mickey pool after lunch while waiting to get into your room. Guess it depends when you arrive at the terminal. You dont get to go to your room until 1:30. Have a great time.

While there are exceptions, the general rule of boys/girls cloths hold on DCL as well... You know what I'm talking about. You go to any kids clothing area (department store, WalMart, Target, etc). There are tons of cute dresses and other outfits for the girls. The boys have have navy and tan colored pants with maybe some colorful shirts.

Well on DCL, you WILL see many little girls dressed up as various Disney Princesses or look adorable in there Minnie Mouse outfit. But I've never seen boys in cute Micky Mouse outfits.

I've seen a few in various costumes such as Buzz-Light year, but I must admit that they don't look "cute" or "adorable" as the girls in their dresses. About the only great things I seen on little boys have been the pirate costumes for pirate's night and dressed in a Tux for formal nights.

My girls bring all of their Disney shirts ont he cruise -- as do I! :) Disney t-shirts are a very normal thing on the cruise, so he should definitely bring them!

As for costumes, most of the boys I saw wore hats (like the big goofy one) but not costumes. But maybe an Incredibles costume? That could be very cute. :earboy2:

The snow white dress would be perfect for the formal nights. Last year there were so many cute princesses on formal night.

I think I will get a pirate hat for him. It should be easy to find since we are leaving Oct 16 on the 4-night cruise and that is so close to Halloween. Does anyone know what night pirate night is on the 4-night cruise? Does in include dinner, or is it after dinner? I just don't want to miss eating in one of the restaurants.

We did a 4 day in May and the pirate night was the evening we left Nassau.
Yes it started at dinner, it's still a great menu, just presented differently and you will dine your regular rotation so you wont miss a thing. After the party there is also a big buffet set out on deck 9. So you'll have 2 dinners that night. Hats are great for little boys, we saw lots with eye patches, hats and little pistols or swords. Most eye patches are made so you can see through them, so you wont have to worry about him triping. Also everyone will be givin a red pirate bandana at dinner. Lots of people put them on their heads or around their arms . They were a great souvenir. The more the word has gotton out about pirate night, the more families are dressing up.
Have fun, we did.
