What to Bring for kids to do while standing in line??

I also use Tour Guide Mike and we don't usually wait in line. If we do, we talk about what we've done, what we want to do next, what we'll eat, etc.

No offense, but if someone around me was blowing bubbles that were landing around me, I would be very annoyed.

We mostly just talked and looked around us. But... we ended up buying the kids those Giant jawbeakers in the plastic Mickey case. They had soooo much fun with those in lines and waiting for parades. They would just keep licking them and watching the colors change in side. Each one was different. They lasted the whole week, too! It really kept them busy. They came in a plastic container that was recloseable and hung around their neck. We were really glad we bought them.

Where did you get those? I'd like to either order some in advance or be sure to pick them up ASAP after arrival. We've got a realllllly long drive down and back, so it'd be a fun car thing too (along with stop-and-brush breaks too!).

hate to say this guys but I'd rather a kid blow bubbles respecting other people's space than a couple kids playing "who can slap their hand the fastest" or "who can spit the farthest" (We have experienced this)
Bubbles are non-toxic and I'm sure for those allergic- If you mention that to the mother they would usher their child to an opposite direction-
Chlorine from the pool is much more harsh than liquid soap...

If you are allergic to something, then it makes a big difference, as bubbles are not 'nontoxic' then - one cannot just be 'ushered to an opposite direction' in a queue either.

We found them in the big gift shop when you first enter MK. But, I think we saw them in a few different stores. That place did have the big ones though, with the lanyards for hanging.

Awesome, thanks for the info! I'm all for ideas that don't bug others in line. I'm contemplating letting the kids bring either their leapsters or their ds's, but I hate to add more detritus that I'll have to lug around on my back (although maybe it'll counterbalance the baby belly from the "little surprise" I'll be lugging around on my tummy! ). Thanks for your help!

Has anyone used the Disney Queue line survival guidebook? I have seen it online, but haven't found it in any stores to actually get a look at it. THANKS!

LOVE the suggestion about Disney Trivial Pursuit cards (I will probably have to pick that up--my husband would love it)....I also have a Walt Disney Trivia Book I could take.

We really enjoy the pocket Imagineering guides and take turns reading to each other. Sometimes I will read about the next park we will visit the next day and then I will be full of fascinating trivia while we stand in line the next day.

I am so sorry but bubbles are great..... fun... for everyone around... and if you were to tell me that you did not like it I would have the kids stop.... I dont like rock music.. but hey that does not stop anyone... I dont like swearing... my son is allergic to perfume I certainly still take him out in public...
