I am looking into booking the Fantasmic package for MGM when our 180 days is finally here, either with Mama Melrose's or Hollywood Brown Derby.

I'm not sure what time Fantasmic shows in September, it looks like 8:00 or 8:30. If that was the case, what time would our dinner reservations be for? I'm guessing 6:30, but if anyone has experience I'd appreciate a little insight!

Thank you!!

They are always early. I don't recall seeing one after 6 PM.

Early. Probaby 4:30 early. I was able to get 5:20 last May, but I believe F! was at 9:00 that night.

4:30?! I thought the whole point of the Fantasmic package was to save you time, you know...have a nice meal and not have to get there an hour and a half early for a seat. If the reservations have to be any earlier than 6, I think I'll just fend for myself and make my own reservation and hope I can get a seat when I get to the show.

I recently booked this package at Hollywood Brown Derby. I attempted twice to get a later time for our ADR since there are 2 showings on the night in question, but was told the package is only good for the first showing and the latest that you could book it is 5:30pm.

They give you tickets for the reserved seating for when you are ready to sit, you do not have to leave the restaurant and go directly to seating.

Well THAT makes a difference then. I thought that if our ADR was at 5:30 we would be done eating by 7:00 and have to show up at 7:00 for an 8:00 or 8:30 showing of Fantasmic which just wasn't going to happen. Our time at the parks is much too precious to be wasted sitting around if we don't have to!

Now that I know you can leave the restaurant and then go back to Fantasmic when you feel you are ready to sit, I'm a little more willing to be flexible in the way of the ADR...5:30 isn't THAT early after all.

Thank you!!

You don't have to arrive for Fantasmic immediately after dinner, though. You can do whatever you want in between dinner and the show. I don't know what the deal is with the early times, unless they're making sure people can be finished eating in time to get to the show on time.

I know with us, I have an ADR for 4:45 because there is only one show when we are there. By the way, what is temp's like in late October. The last week of Oct to be percise

I was told the latest seating before the 1st show is 2 hours prior.

We always try for the 5:00 seating and then we have time to go do some attractions before we have to enter the arena for the show. This has always worked out very well for us.
