What Time Will the SW Fares be Released on the 14th?

Outbound flight had a great price at $116 After checking over 3 different days, a return flight could not be had for less than $212 and that flight was at 6am; so there was no way I was buying it. Flying out at 6am is one thing; but returning then…nope. Others were $250 and up. Too much for me.

I’ll keep checking; but right now looks like another Disney road trip. And that’s okay. Glad for everyone that is set on flights now.

I booked our flights home yesterday. I just checked and the prices have gone down a little so I rebooked. Love the no-fee change policy with Southwest. I wish Jetblue did it too.

Yes they check you in at 36 hrs before so it doesn't matter when you check in. When you get back to hotel at night ask them to print your boarding passes. You will have the same number as if you sat at 24hrs.
I just found this out after I booked earlybird and then checked in at 24 hrs anyway LOL

Good to know. So if I understand correctly, we really don't need to check in at all then?

Don't forget the A-List passengers. They are assigned boarding positions after the Business Select passengers, starting with position A16. Since you never know how many of them will be on any given flight, it can have little effect or a big effect on the boarding position for the first EBCI customers. My DH has A-List status but when we travel together he gives up his preferred slot and boards with me. But some A-Listers board in their assigned spot and save a seat for their traveling companion.

DH as A-List status too. However we purchased our return flight with WGA fares using his points.
I don't care if we aren't near the front, but just hoping we can sit somewhat together (there's four of us) and would prefer my kids aren't by themselves.

One thing to keep in mind about EBCI is that Business Select passengers are assigned their seats first, and then Anytime Fares and then WGA Fares. Even if you buy your seats the moment they are released and purchase EBCI, you will still be assigned a boarding position AFTER Business Select and Anytime Fares.
That explains my high as boarding number. Always get WGA fares.

Check back every few weeks. The wanna get away fares for the flights you really wanted may come back and you could switch.
This is crazy! Right now, 5/15 at 3:18 pm eastern there's a Wanna Get Away from MCO to PHL on 11/7 for $73!!!!!!. I don't want to fly that early but in the event my preferred flights including the one I booked for $129 goes down, how do I get it? Cancel what I have then book the new? Call SW on the phone?

I just booked 2 people, round trip Hartford, CT / MCO, Oct/Nov, for $460.00..................excellent price in my book!

Wow, I have never paid more than $200 RT PP out of Hartford. I checked when I got up yesterday (7ish) for my dates 11/10 through 11/16 or 17. Flights were about $123 for non stops, too high for me. Checked again periodically throughout the day. At 10PM, I snagged a one way on 11/10 at the perfect time for $84 (non-stop). The return is $115 right now so I will wait.

Well you got me wondering , ( Oct 27 and Nov 7) that was $460 with early birds all around. I just checked and right now the same flights, which are the ones I wanted, is $756.00 with early birds.....so I Still think I did fine .

I hope you find what you want.

I paid the most we've ever paid on Southwest for our December 2015 flights. Granted, it's a holiday week for New Years. $500+ round trip per person. Other airlines are even more, so we booked it. By this afternoon our flight to Orlando was sold out for Wanna Get Away Fare. Glad we booked!

There should be an option to "change" your flight. You go into that, it lets you search for new flights, then you can pick the same flight at the new price. I think anyway, I've never actually done it.

People who fly Southwest frequently can earn "A-List" status after they have flown 25 one-way flights or earned 35,000 Tier Qualifying Points in a calendar year. Passengers with "A-List" status don't need to purchase EBCI -- they get checked in automatically 36 hours out, before the Anytime or Wanna Get Away passengers with EBCI get their boarding assignments.

I got a great deal for Austin to Orlando for Nov. 23. $103 per person! Coming back on Monday, Nov. 30 is really high, so I booked the one-way for now.

Both SWA & Jet Blue are running ~$250 for that return flight. Just the other day, on Jet Blue, it was $211. I almost bit on it, but decided to wait for SWA.

I guess it's not going to go down. Not sure what to do for our return. Maybe we'll just stay indefinitely!

So I went ahead and booked our return for the Monday after Thanksgiving. Good thing I did. It went up 18% the next day!

We ended up paying $345 pp RT from Austin for Thanksgiving week. I guess that's not bad. We pay about $250 pp in the summer.

This thread made me nervous! Just booked 4 round trip tickets from Reagan to MCO for $872. Not too shabby.
