I looked through a few pages & didn't see anything, so where is the best place to watch F! from, so people don't get in front of us at the last minute. And what time should we go sit down? We're just gonna relax on our blanket & have our snacks while we wait.

Thanks! :goodvibes

The last time we saw Fantasmic, my mother in law staked out our spot around 4-5pm. I thought she was crazy, but she wanted to make sure the kids had a good view. We sat against the fence overlooking the ROA, right across from POTC. Of course there was a family that tried to squeeze their way onto our spot at the last minute...always seems to happen. :sad2:

The Fantasmic Superthread is pinned to the top of the Disneyland boards.

Hydroguy has put together an amazing bit all about where to sit and when to arrive. Here is the link:

It will give you the best information out there complete with diagrams and maps! Enjoy!

My DH and I do this also! The kids will usually go ride a few rides and then come relax and people watch wih us. This week When we go my DD best friend told my DD she wants to meet up with us ( DH and me) when we stake out our spot because she enjoyed watching everything and talking a couple of years ago when we were there. ( my DD and her friends just happen to be going at the same time as us for a Birthday Party) I laughed when she told me they wanted to camp out for Fntasmic!

we staked spots out 2-3 hours early oto get best seats and yep right around 20mins to show time some family s kids tried to sneak in our way. I was like OH no you dont, go back to your parents this is our spot I staked it out early.

I nearly blew a gasket when the oldest kid jsut gave me the evil eye (they were hanging on the fence and i would have laughed had they fell in. but ok thats mean dont be mean tiff be good girl. lol

Yes its worth it to stake it out early. next time we are bringing a pillow. since we decided to put the 150 for f seats to the tour+party combo we want to do instead lol

You'll see in the superthread that there is a spot behind one of the giant speaker/light towers. During the day it is on the ground so it looks like it is blocking your view, but they raise it right before show time. This places you right behind the dessert area which is supposed to be the best viewing area. For this spot, we lined up 30 min early and were against the railing.

If it is summer time people start around 1630-1700 staking out spots and people will try to squeeze in..this is for the 2100 show. I am too old to sit on my butt on the ground so we do the dessert package.

Reporting back: we staked out our spot at 7pm, plenty of space for sitting up front. We sat right in front of the POC entrance. One thing I would mention, it was almost impossible to work our way out of spot after 8pm to go on a snack run and potty break. I would try to sit near the rope next time. Otherwise, everything was great! The fireworks were great from back there too.

After the FW we were able to ride: haunted mansion, jungle cruise, small world, canal boats, Alice in wonderland, mr toad's wild ride, snow white, Pinocchio and buzz Lightyear, twice!

We had a great night! Thanks for the advice :grouphug:
