What time to pull WOC fast pass?

We're going to start our first day in DCA to early entry because we're staying on site, but will move to DL after the first hour or two. What time do we need to pull our WOC fast pass? Should we do it first thing or is it OK to grab it on our way out when we're ready to go to DL? Is it just one big area or does the timing of pulling the fast pass matter?

I think they still distribute blue (left side) first, then the yellow area. There are great views in both areas. Unless you are trying to wait for a second show, just pull the FPs whenever you walk by as they are not connected to other FP availability. You don't need to race there first thing. The machines are currently just before you reach the Ariel on the west side of the walkway.

Which color is the center front wet zone?

They don't. They now do partial blue, then partial yellow, then final blue then final yellow. I just updated the WOC Superthread tonight on this. See https://www.disboards.com/threads/world-of-color-superthread.2542717/page-108#post-58397891

Thanks for the update. I don't really know what the colors mean. Is one better than the other? Is there a way to plan what you get or is more difficult now? It's supposed to be pretty cold now the night we're going so maybe we really shouldn't be in the wet zone.

It is all laid for you here in detail: "World of Color Superthread" www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=37986447

Sorry, I should read the whole thread rather than just the last post! Thank you!
Not really, you should read the first post. The first part of the first post says to read the first post only then the more recent posts if you want. :)

Is WOC available with Max Pass? If so, if I am planning most of my morning/day at DL can I grab a WOC MP to hold for that evening?

TIA

That explains why I got a yellow FP area relatively early on a not-too-busy day a few weeks ago. Makes sense they would want to balance the sections now that most of the new has worn off and it's not a daily sellout.

I think the yellow side gives you a slightly better center shot-but you do have to line up pretty early to get the perfect spot.
Thanks Chris. Still need to decide how much time we want to devote to this.

Me too. My little one won't be able to wait so we would have to swap off or something. Does anyone know if you can enter and leave and re-enter the fast pass area? There is no way my toddler is going to just chill for 90 minutes after a long day at the parks. We will need to keep him entertained on rides or something.

Bummed about the whole partial blue, partial yellow thing. There's a spot we always grab in Blue. I'd hate to get yellow if I'm early.

The CMs at the WOC distribution are often pretty cool about this. When I stopped by a few weeks ago they were giving out blue and I wanted yellow. They told me to take a blue and come back later and they would exchange it for a yellow. Which I did.
