Well-like the title states, What time should we head-out to the ToTP? In years past how long do the lines get? We are going the first Fri 10/3 and it starts at 7:30
Any tips would help. TIA:thumbsup2

hey ill be there the 3rd too! good question...i never even thought about that! :goodvibes

I did not realize that there was a TOT party! I want to go, Princess Plazola, will have to make room for me! ;) he he! leave the stroller at home.

ooo i would LOVE for you to come!! haha DS is just gonna have to walk like a big boy around DL

Last year we got there right around when it started and didn't have to wait in line long at all. The amount of tickets they sell is fairly small compared to the amount DCA can hold. We will probably be there 15 min. early or so.

I have another question though, we are staying at GCH, can we get in for the party though the GCH entrance or do we need to go to the front gates? Anyone know? :confused3

oops! well I would like to go to the trick or treat party too! :) I love the idea of there being a Halloween party at the tower of terror, though! :) here is my vote: 1, hey, have to start somewhere. :)

Hey-we are northern Cali too...East Bay-I'll look for you and your cute son!
We will be the Minnie Girls (me, DD3, DD1) DH and DS are not dressing-up unless I can convince them!

:cool1: Really! 15 min...that's great. I hear other people from "other" boards saying they line-up hour + or so before the event time!
I am planning on leaving the parks around 4 and "resting/dressing/eating" for a few hours and then heading back around 6:45 or so.
We also want to sneak out to view the Fireworks at DL and then come back to ToTP. So I hope that lines aren't too messy.:)

If it was just me, or just adults maybe we'd line up 30 min. before, but with our large group and lots of kids I highly doubt that will happen. We've been two years in a row and it really was not that crowded overall. Maybe took 10 min to get through the turnstiles. :thumbsup2 I can't imagine it being drastically different this year. Hopefully they are selling the same number of tickets. One difference could be that we go on a Thursday evening. Maybe people line up earlier on the weekend?

your right about it getting through really quickly and I line up about half an hour before but what everyone is forgetting is that once you get through the turnstyle and get your bag for candy you still have to wait for rope drop at all the corners...and the map they give you will show you where trick or treat stations are, where character greets will be, etc....and because the character greets take the longest, if you are interested in getting pics with ANY of the characters then it really helps being one of the first ones there for rope drop because then you can make a beeline to where you have to be..

just a heads up for everyone....if you have a favorite character that you really want pics with...double check with the CM at the roped off area of where it says the character will be because it may be different than what is on the map...just want to tell you a quick little story..

I absolutely ADORE mickey mouse if you havent figured that out yet and I have pics with him in every single outfit he has ever worn..last year I wanted to get a pic with him in his vampire outfit and the map said he would be over in the soarin/GC area...and I was talking to the CM and telling him my main mission was to get to Mickey..well as we are waiting he came over to me a little bit later and told me he had just gotten word that they had moved Mickey's place to over in the outdoor arena by PP...so I boogied over there to that side of the ropes and what was really cool is that everyone was stopped to get candy and such and when I got over by the SF area out he came...there was nobody there but me and him and his handler and I kind of let out a gasp and he waved to me and came over and put his hand on my shoulder and walked with me all the way to the arena and I got the first pic of the night...what was really cool was while we were walking people started coming up and trying to get his attention but he continued to walk with me all the way:love: ...so make sure if its an important photo op for you that you double check that the character will be at the location indicated on the map:thumbsup2
