What time to leave??

Hey all, More a lurker than a poster. We are driving from Queens NY to WDW in 2 weeks. My plan is to be on the road by 5-5:30 am. Good idea? Bad?

I want to miss rush hour as much as possible. We are leaving on a Friday. What do you think?

I personally would leave between 430 and 500 to ensure you miss the rush hour...you also have to worry about washington...but from nj the shore area... we always left at 500 and never hit rush hour... so really I would leave at around 430.... good luck on the travel...

I live in DE and the beach resorts seem to be packed for the next few weeks, since it is infamously the vacation time for families. In addition, our schools open on August 24th, so the next few weeks will be really hectic around here as far as traffic.

Please do a disney wave in my direction when you come through DE!!!!!
