What time to leave MK?

We're flying home on Wed 8/31 from MCO. Flight is at 8:50pm. We will have a rental car to return, including car seats to take out, kids to situate, etc.

What time should we be walking out of MK to make it with no issues? Not really sure what the traffic situation will look like at that time of day. TIA!

I would plan on walking away from dropping off the car by 6:50pm.
Allow 5 minutes (maybe 10?) to drop off the car, pull car seats, etc, means dropping the car at 6:45p
45 minutes (maybe an hour?) from MK parking lot to MCO, means pulling out at 6p.
15 minutes (maybe 30?) to get from MK gates to your car, means walking out at 5:45p.

If you want to add some extra cushion time (oops, forgot getting gas for the rental), leave around 5:15-5:30p.

15 minutes to get to a car from the MK will only happen if you are a guests at the Contemporary and can walk fast! That's a MINUMUM of half an hour or how knows how long if the monorail has to "Wait for clearance" (Personally I would not trust the monorail if I had a plane to catch.. go with the boat!)

I'd leave around 4:30- depending on how much you have packed before going to MK.

I like to charge my phone for a bit before leaving the resort to the airport, so leaving early definitely helps with that.

I agree with OCC, go with the boat instead of monorail.
