We are arriving at the GF on a Saturday around noon. :woohoo: And want to head to MK after we settle in and relax a bit. The last time I went to MK in the afternoon on a weekday, it had cleared out around 4 or 5pm. Does this happen on Saturdays, or is it just busy all day? We want to get in a few rides before dinner plans at 6:30pm. Is there anyway to find out what the Fast pass times from the hotel and I can run over and get some FP tickets for the group while they rest?

Well you can only hold one set of fast pass tickets at a time meaning only one ride at a time until your fast pass window expires so I dont how much you would accomplish by going to get fastpasses. It would take maybe an hour to get a fast pass and come back.... monorail plus getting in the gate, then going to the attraction , get fast passes, walk back , exit, board monorail etc. It will probably be pretty busy all day so I would just go to MK whenever is a good time for you and your family and just go knowing that you may not be able to do that much. You can still get some fast passes and enjoy yourselves.

You'd only be able get a FPs for YOUR ticket. You wouldn't be able to get everyone in your group FPs tickets unless they come with you. For you to be able to get FPs the tickets must be put through the finger scan and turnstyle at the gate.

Not to hijack or anything...but I have possibly a stupid question. One person can get fastpasses for the entire family as long as they are in the park and that person has everyone's pass right?? I'm just a bit confused.

In response to the OP, I think that the MK will be busy regardless, but yes, in my experience and from what I've read, there may be a "few" less people there around 4 or 5 :) Have a great time!!!! We're right behind you....leaving in SIX days!!!!!

As long as everyone in you family has entered thru the gates with their tickets/ gotten finger scan...you may then collect all the tickets/passes and BOLT over to the ride you are getting a FP for. :teeth: This would be one reason DH is eagerly awaiting passing the job of FPR (fast pass runner) to DS . DS runs track, but no flames...he is courteous and polite, but boy does htat kid know his way around the parks!

Enjoy!

When will you visit? According to the Unofficial Guide to WDW Saturdays are usually low-crowd days for MK. A lot of folks travel on this day and don't get to the parks and there is no EMH for MK on this day. :cool1:

Now that the additional days on a ticket are so cheap when buying expiring tickets over 4-days, I expect more people will be going to the parks on their arrival day than in the past. We are considering doing this as well on our next visit. There will still be a large number of people who just don't want to fool with going to the parks on the same day they arrive in Orlando. :thumbsup2
