Should we do lunch or dinner?

LUNCH: If I follow my TGM advice then I book lunches at the first time available for lunch which would be 11:45 at CRT. But, the reason he says to book the first available is because we would get sat quickly. I was thinking that since breakfast will still be going on (or at least that's how I think it works) that it wouldn't be as important to book the first lunch time.

Do you guys agree? I would prefer to book a lunch time of like 1:30 so that I don't lose any precious (and hopefully less crowded) AM time in the parks.

Please help fast, I've got my dining ressie in another tab! (LOL j/k but really, I do. :lmao: )

Thanks!

EDIT: My daughter just said she thinks that it would be fun to be in the castle at the end of our day.. sort of a piece de resistance from the slugging around all day in the parks.. just go sit and relax and no worries about what time it is when it's over. Do you guys think it's better for lunch or dinner? Also, is it more beautiful inside the castle at night with the lights on and the darkness out the windows? My DD's are older: DD14 and DD15

Thanks again!

Just a thought, but...my daughter and I had reservations for dinner around 8:45PM last fall. It was just beginning to storm when we arrived at the castle. We were inside waiting and thought we were hearing the fireworks/WISHES show, but it was actually a major thunderstorm. Totally clueless, we enjoyed our meal and exited the castle around 10PM. Wondering why the crowds were surrounding the castle as we were leaving, we realized that the fireworks had actually been delayed due to weather. We were able to walk down the castle steps...feeling like royalty...and had a front row spot for some once in a lifetime fireworks photos! It was truly magical!!!

We had whatever the earliest lunch seating as and so did MANY of our "friends". We arrived to checkin and there was a queue as they were holding everyone until they could finally check people in. Then you had to check in, then wait until they opened, then wait in line for pictures with Cinderella, then we were seated. IT really went smoothly, but we waited 20 minutes before they opened the doors for lunch.

The first seating for lunch is around 11:55. If you choose that time get there early so you can be first in line to meet Cinderella and be seated.

Awwww :) I think that's what she's hoping for. My problem is that we will be coming from the west coast and so we will still be feeling the 3 hour time difference plus getting up at 4am to get to the turnstiles at opening. I think

If you actually make a reservation for like 5:30 or 6:00 (my version of prime eating time) will it be just jam packed or is it ALWAYS jam packed no matter what during peak seasons?

Last month we had a late dinner reservation and while we were eating we saw the fireworks. It's not the best view and I would definitely recommend that you see the fireworks from Main Street at least once, but for a second viewing it was magical to see them through the windows of the castle.

Unfortunately, I read that the windows will be covered through June 30 while some rehab work is being done on the castle.
