What time to arrive?

We have an 8:10 breakfast at BOG next week. Originally, this was on a 9:00 park open day, but the park opening time changed to 8:00.

What time should we arrive? Would we be able to watch the rope drop show and then enter the park and head to BOG, or would that make us late?

Also, if you have a suggested arrival time, can you also suggest a leave-the-room time? We are staying at POR; we also have a rental car but will probably take the bus to MK.

I thought they stopped doing an opening show a while ago. I could be wrong.

They still do an MK opening show every day.

Sometimes it might not be the "full show," but there will be an "MK Welcome" every day.
And, it most often will be the "full show" with singers, dancers, characters and the steam train.

We had a reservation at CRT for 8:05. The park did not open until 9 that morning so we did not get to see an opening show. We entered a side gate at MK that is used by people that have early ADR's. I want to say we entered the gate about 15 minutes before our reservation. Since our reservation was an hour before park opening I was nervous that the buses weren't running yet so we took a cab from Pop Century to the Contemporary resort. The cab driver told us that is the closest he could get us to the gates at MK. It was about a 10 minute walk from Contemporary Resort to MK. We left our resort around 7:00 and had more than enough time to get to our reservation in time. I think you will be more than fine if you left your hotel around 7:30 by bus.

For future reference, the park buses start rolling about 6:30AM every day.
