Hi! I am calling tomorrow to make my dinner ADR's. :teeth: I have not made ADR's for the summer before. We are traveling in July. What time do you think I should make our dinner reservations for? :scratchin Specifically, if we are there when the park opens, when is a reasonable time to break for dinner? In Dec. we ate at 4/4:30 but that was too early. Not because I don't like eatting then, but I felt like we had to stop mid-stream to eat :( . We will probably grap a counter lunch at 11/11:30 ish. It will be all adults/college students. Thanks! :)

You'll usually get less of a wait time (even with ADRs) if you book before 6 pm.

In the summer we like to eat later, the parks are open so much later that if we do get up and go 1st thing in the morning we usually go back to the room to hang at the pool and relax for awhile and then get cleaned up and go back out; or if we don't go to the park until evening we don't usually want to eat 1st thing so again the trend seems to be a later than normal dinner time. I hope that helps and you have a great time.

We booked our rezzies between 6:10 and 7:30 depending on when the park closed. (I.e. 6:10 for MK and Animal Kingdom Day -leaving AK to go to dinner outside of park when park closed - and 7:30 for epcot nights when getting tables next to windows to view illuminations.)

In my experience, the park closing time is the best way to calculate when to eat.

We generally aim for 5-5:30 for dinner times. That way if there is any wait, we can still have time to see things afterwards.

I made all my ADRs for around 7:00 each night. We are going the last week in May when the parks are opened later. We have two character breakfasts scheduled as well--so we will just snack in the afternoon between breakfast and dinner. One the other days, we will pick something up at the resort to eat before heading out, do a 11:30-noon lunch and then dinner at 7:00.

My preference is do have the same time each day so I don't have to worry about what day it is, just where I need to go.

I also prefer to eat lunch between 11 & noon, then usually end up eating dinner between 5 & 6 pm. Works out for the most part, but I have had to cancel some ADRs for dinner as I just didn't feel like eating them.

Cheers!

Thanks for the help! I sadly got a CM who knew very little. She didn't ask if I was on the dining plan, and she was only going to let me book dinner for one day (I am staying on site). I think I am going to call back tomorrow to confirm that I have reservations. If I messed up the dining times, I will know what to do differently for my next trip!

Try to get the times that you like to eat.
