What time should we check-in at OKW?

We'll be arriving on Sunday, April 2 and our arrival time is very flexible. When should we check in to have the best shot at 1)having our room available immediately, and 2)getting the requests we made (building pref, smoking pref, floor pref)?

Check in as soon as you arrive. Then go off and enjoy the day. Make sure you remind the CM at check-in what you had requested and ask if the requests had been met.

BUT don't be disappointed if checking in early doesn't result in all of your requests being met. I check in in NOV. before 9 AM, did not love the location offered (did not meet any of my requests except non-smoking), told the CM I was in no rush to get to room and would wait all day for a better location if she thought something even MIGHT come up that would be better, and I got nowhere with that. Bottom line, though, was that I ended up LOVING my "bad" building/location! I am learning to be a little more flexible (not easy for control freaks!) Enjoy your trip. We own DVC points at OKW and just love being there but have pretty much NEVER really gotten the location requested (we never request specific buildings, just views, etc.)

Check in as soon as you arrive. You likely wont get in your unit right away, but they WILL tell you which building, and all you have to do is call back to find when your unit is ready. OKW does still pre-assign (or so they say). The past few trips, we have been told the building number right away in the morning, and have usually been in by 3:30-4:00. When we arrived at 2pm on NYE, we got our room immediately.

We checked in at about 10am on Sunday, March 12th -- received our dedicated 2BR villa immediately. It doesn't hurt to check-in as early as possible.
