What time should I try to make a Bistro de Paris ADR for?

My wife wants to try Bistro de Paris when we go on on Nov. trip. I want to be able to try to watch illuminations from a window seat, but if can't get by a window, I want to have at least 30 minutes to find somewhere to watch the fireworks. Given that illuminations that night is at 9:30, that would mean I need to be able to leave by 9pm, so when do I make the ressie for? I am thinking no later than 7pm, but have read other say their dinners lasted well over 2 hours, so can anyone offer any advice on this one?

We have eaten at Le Bistro many times. Even if you get a window seat the view of illuminations is quite limited.

If you really want to see the full illuminations show I wouls suggest taking the earliest reservation you can get, as your dinner will last 2-3 hours, easily.
This is a kick back, relax, time between your courses to enjoy each other type of place. No rushing here.

The food and service are fantastic..great couples place.

Also, you may want to doublecheck the time for Illuminations. In my experience it is always at 9 p.m. and that time never varies.

I agree, check the time for illumintations....never know it to be other than 9PM. Even Christmas week.

If you want to dine while wathcing illuminations, then the R&C patio is the only way to go.

The Bistro is great, so if you have your heart set on it make your ADR 2 hours prior. Then walk around and find a spot to watch. There are Kiosks whare you can get a glass of wine, coffee or a dessert.

I don't remember whethere it's during Candlelight Processional, Flower/Garden, or Food/Wine - but I know for one of those it's been 9:30 Illuminations for quite a while now.
