Hello. We are hoping to get Be Our Guest dining reservations on January 16th for our 25th anniversary! We want to time it (if possible) to be done in time to watch Once Upon a Time and Happily Ever After but they don't have the show times posted yet. Anyone have any suggestions as to what time I should make the reservations, provided I have a few choices (I know it is extremely hard to get ressies there)? I was thinking 7:30 and guessing the shows would start around 9:00. Thoughts? TIA

7:30 is too late. Figure an hour and a half to eat and visit with the Beast (minimum) and then leave BOG at least 30 min before showtime to get a decent view of the show. If you want a great view, you want to be on main street 45 min before show, which means leave BOG an hour prior.

If you assume a 9:00 show time (which I think is most likely), that means your ADR should be 6:30 for optimal viewing location, and 7:00 the latest to make it to somewhere on main street to see the show.

As it is just the two of you, things will move more quickly, and it'll be easier to find spots than if you had little ones. I would go for a 7:00, but nothing later.

Also, check into BOG 10-15 min early to help ensure you are seated on time. Also, talk to your server early about wanting to leave the table by 8:15 or so to have time to visit the Beast and see HEA.

I'm in the same boat! We'll be in MK in 7 days (first time EVER!!!), and we booked CRT at 6:55pm. I'm SO worried the reservation is too late and we'll miss the fireworks, stuck under the castle or something. I wish the fireworks were at 10 :( In the meantime, I spend all day looking to book earlier, hoping for someone to cancel.

Do you guys think 6:55 is ok? I'd cry my life away if we missed our very first (and last) fireworks.

You should be OK but I bet you'll see a cancellation over the next 5 days. Do you have it on Touringplans Res Finder? It checks every hour. Helped me get a couple hard to get ressies so far.

Agree with PP 7:30 is going to be too late tho.

Check into CRT 15 minutes early. This will help you get going at least on time, if not a bit early.

When we went in May, CRT was only letting people check in 5 minutes early.. created a super long line and we ended up checking in 5 minutes after our ADR time. Things changed but just wanted to give you a heads up. Also, I think a 6:55 CRT should be fine for 9:00 HEA. You might not get a spot right in the middle of Main Street.. but you should be out of the restaurant by then. It only took us an hour to eat lunch at CRT. They really move people through since it's such a small restaurant.

I would try for 6:30 PM. It took us a little over an hour to eat there at 5:30 PM in May and then there was a 30 minute wait to meet the Beast. If the whole experience takes an hour and a half.. you will be out by 8:00 PM and should be able to find a spot in the grassy area in front of Casey's. Lean up against the back rail for a really good view of the castle projections. Now if you don't mind having a somewhat obscured view by people, light poles, etc. you can find a spot 30 minutes before the show.

I've never been in January, but the day after MLK day (Jan 15th) seems like it might be more crowded than usual. I'd do dinner at 6:30 PM to get a better fireworks spot. Then again, I'm early to everything :thumbsup2
