What Time May We Board the Ship?

I have read conflicting stories about when guests are actually allowed to board the ships... everything from 10:30am, until 1:00pm?

We are having a towncar drive us to Cape Canaveral, from the Poly., and I am not sure what time to leave? We are taking a Land /Sea vacation, so we will be checked in already...

I want to get on board as soon as I can...to make my reservations and to learn my way around.

Can anyone clear this up for me?

The port itself(the terminal) usually opens around 10:30am. This means you can enter the terminal and either check-in or begin standing in line for boarding if you are already checked-in. Official boarding time is posted at 1pm, but in the past they have usually started boarding around 12pm. We usually have the limo company pick us up around 9 or 9:30am. It is approximately a 1 to 1 1/2 hour ride from WDW to Port Canaveral.
