What Time is the 4 o'clock Rain? -- Updates 11/2-4 -- Tim's surprise and Marco&Recap

I keep forgetting that; I just wish my pants understood that when I get back home from those trips. :lmao::lmao:

:rotfl: I normally lose more weight on Disney trips than when I'm at home. I blame all the running around the parks. I don't normally walk that much :goodvibes

Luvin the purple mouse ears. I've said it before but disney definately need to pay you for advertising these things for them.

Good to read you got some positive news about Mark's job!

I'm glad you got to see Voices of Liberty! We've JUST missed them the past few trips, but hopefully we'll time it better next trip!

Hooray for another dismeet! And a double hooray for a dismeet with a slush from France! They are oh so wonderful!

Loved your photopass pictures on the way out of Epcot!!

It really looks like you had a great meal at Yachtsman and you both looked fantastic!! The anniversary menus are definitely a sweet touch!

I also do not blame you for asking to wait for another table instead of sitting near a loud and crazy group! I don't understand how parents can just ignore their kids when they're acting SO inappropriately!

Your stroll on the Boardwalk sounds like it was such a perfect ending to your evening! :)

I also just wanted to say that I truly hope your days and nights have been getting better. I know how hard of a time this is (I've had to go through it twice) and I know that things don't just get easier overnight, but I sincerely hope you've found a little comfort and peace so far in the good memories and in knowing what a great, long life Cookie lived with you and your family.

Kathy, I am so glad to hear about Mark's job. Even though it's not the same as his commission, it sure does help until things change or the Lord opens another door for the both of you. ;)

I am so happy your night out at the Yachtsman Steakhouse was a memorable one for all the right reasons. And like you I wouldn't want to sit next to an 8 top table with screaming and climbing kids. I love kids, but not being loud and out of control next to me when I want to celebrate a significant moment such as an anniversary. :sad2:

I thought it was so cool (is that word still used or am I just that old, LOL) that you were able to once again meet up with Brenda. She is one of several here on the DIS I would love to meet someday when back home at Disney. :goodvibes

And I have to agree with you whole heartedly about Yachtsman over Le Cellier. I don't even rate LC as a top 5 and perhaps not even a top 10 for steak in WDW... I was not impressed with it at all and doubt I will ever go back there again.

Kathy: I think I said it when we saw you at YSH - but you looked so lovely and you guys were so smiley and cute at your special anniversary dinner. (Actually, you shared where you had your "real" anniversary dinner in May!! :lmao:) Definitely a great decision to ask for a different table. That one was much more intimate.

It's a nice touch to give you a special anniversary menu.

Thanks again to Mark for being our photographer. Em and I look rather evil in our group photo but you my dear look lovely!

We wouldn't expect any less of Mark while browsing a gift shop. You got into the action as well I see.

Ahhhh mannnnn! Seeing Mark's Boardwalk Bakery treat reminds me that we were so close to that place and never made it over there for a cupcake. :(

Goofy4Prez: Thanks so much Bob! It is definitely mutual. I like the way you said "back home at Disney."

Great update Kathy!

I would have requested a different table too... We also witnessed come very naughty children on our trip - and parents too... Sigh.

So happy you ended up with a much better and probably more romantic table the second time.

The food looks amazing! I would love to eat there someday... It's somewhere I've never considered - and I think I need to.

So happy you had a great Anniversary meal! The two of you are just adorable!

And, of course... Another Dismeet... YAY!

D~

i'm finally catching up...
your updates are fantastic! Glad your getting in a more sunny mood. Talking Disney usually helps...

your Anniversary dinner looks DIVINE!!! the picture of you guys is just too adorable.

everything you are posting just looks like such a fabulous romantic trip. So funny people just think Disney as another entertaining amusement park. You are showing us the romantic side of Disney and it is what you make it to be!!!

Glad to hear about Mark and his job. Your always in my prayers!

any thought in a new furry baby?

I absolutely love that picture of the two of you at Yachtsman, just lovely! So very glad you asked for a different table, that would have been painful. What a lovely evening and dinner, a wonderful anniversary.

I am glad to hear there has been a little progress on the job front. I do hope he can find something else but this gives some breathing room and that is always good.

See you tomorrow!!

I We were truly blessed to have her 15-1/2 years of her almost 16 years gracing this earth.

That's a long, long time in dog years. It really is a blessing to have had that much time with her.

We got semi good news for Mark. I think since he didn't quit when they pulled the rug out from under him that they realized they better do something. They have taken him off draw/commission and will pay him a yearly salary. They will reevaluate in six months. They are forgetting about what he was currently under on his budget, and he will get paid the rest of the year.

I'm glad to hear that! Sorry it's not ideal, but it certainly is better than nothing.

As always, they were wonderful and we were glad we made the time to see them.

Love VoL.

And, as we all know, if there isn't a picture, it didn't happen:

Totally lost count of the DIS meets at this point.:rotfl:

We were called about ten minutes later and the hostess started to walk us to our table. I could tell by the direction we were headed and the table we passed, that we were going to be seated by a table of 8 people. I was NOT happy about this at all because I knew who those 8 people were. They were the 8 people waiting with us who had two kids who were climbing over the furniture in the waitng area, screaming at the top of their lungs, while the parents/grandparents totally ignored them. Not my idea of a nice anniversary dinner.

Sorry. We didn't mean to screw up your anniversary. Julie's given up on trying to control the rest of us. :rotfl2:

Soon our waitress came over and brought us our very special "anniversary" menus. I thought this was very sweet of them.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Let me just say that everything was absolutely perfect...cooked exactly the way we like it. We will definitely be back to Yachtsman.

Everything looked delicious!

We browsed in the shops. And you all know by now what happens when we browse in shops:

You spend lots of money!

Oh, and the hat thing too.:rotfl:

Oh my goodness, those steaks look SO good. I am totally craving steak now. I think I ate at Yachtsman once, but it was years ago and I don't remember it at all...based on your pictures, I think I'll definitely have to revisit it someday!

Hi Kathy I've been playing catch up on all your news - big hugs, don't think I need to say anymore xx
Onto YSH - I agree with the others, the photo of you both together is just lovely :)

Sounds (and looks) like a very yummy dinner... right down to my favorite... a Pina Colada!!!

One of THE best Pina Coladas in Disney.

Last trip we never made it to the boardwalk area... I am hoping to this time, but I don't know. Things are starting to look rather full.

If you can find the time, Tammy, you should try to get to the Boardwalk. The kids would enjoy the jugglers, etc.

Somehow, I missed the post about Mark's job. While I know that you said the pay isn't even close to what his commission would be, at least he is getting paid. In this day and time, jobs are very hard to come by and I'd hate to know that he'd have to look for something else down the line.

This is very true; a wrench was thrown in yesterday by boss number two but I refuse to worry about it anymore until the end of the year.

I don't blame you for waiting on another table. Had we been seated by the rude, kid climbing family we encountered while waiting for Ohana, I'd have asked to wait too. You know that you would have been miserable sitting by them all evening.

There is just no excuse for it. I know kids are exicted and can be hyper, but there was NO control at all.

You've had a lot of Dis Meets this trip. Love me some Dis Meets!

I'm hoping I'll be having that DIS meet with you in May next year. :)

Kathy, I do NOT blame you for not wanting to sit next to those other guests. Well done waiting for another table.

I was not going to let them ruin our special dinner.

Dinner looked yummy. I love the onion rolls too! They are to die for aren't they. And I had to :lmao: because, not only did I have the same entree Mark had, but I posted a photo of Jeff in exactly the same hat that you posted of Mark. Small world.
Those onion rolls are to die for. Love that Jeff and Mark had the same hat on.

Love your stroll around the Boardwalk. We do the same thing - such a nice place to be at. :thumbsup2

It really is a way to have a nice, relaxing stroll.

Absolutely! :thumbsup2

I'm glad you agree with me.

Voices of Liberty: Good

Thank you.

Voices of Liberty while sitting comfortably and enjoying the A/C: Great

Definitely a plus (because if I'm sitting on the floor, you better have some strong guy around to get me off that floor!).

Will there be some kind of a tally at the end of this thing to add up all the Dismeets you had on this trip? I've already lost count! :rotfl2::lmao:

Maybe I should do a contest?

I'm not typically a frozen drink person but those things are just about as good as it gets. I could use one right about now.

I could use several right about now. :lmao:

Ok, I'm sitting at work and this just gave me a random thought that I had to share with you. I realize that it isn't Disney World popcorn and the coffee isn't Starbucks, so this probably isn't as much of a taunt as I intended for it to be, but here's a table that we have in our office for customers and employees to enjoy for free...

10275603455_662771250e.jpg

I eat entirely too much popcorn. :lmao::rotfl2:

The popcorn would be okay, the coffee...not so much. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I'm glad they were able to work with you and give you a different table.

Me too...this was our "special" dinner.

Cool! :thumbsup2

They were very nice and they are now in my scrapbook.

The food really does look fantastic. I'd like to check it out sometime, but I don't see us doing a place like this until the kids are older.

If your kids are well behaved and eat steak, it's the place to go. And knowing you, I'm sure your kids are well behaved.

Ok, there have been so many meets with them this trip, that I have to ask... Who was stalking whom? :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

That started to be a question we asked each other every time we ran into each other (and trust me, we've not seen the last of them yet!).

You can't resist the smell of a bakery! :thumbsup2

No, you can't. But I was disappointed he didn't get something chocolate.

Unless of course it's the one that Starbucks ruined with that stupid coffee smell. :headache: :rolleyes1

HA HA HA...funny. NOT!

wow, some people have no consideration for others...I'm all for having fun as a family, but when you are in a nice restaurant, people really should make sure their kids are quiet and behaved!

I'll just never understand it. If my brothers or I or my kids had acted like that, we would have had a stern talking to and left the restaurant if the behavior did not improve.

dinner looks so yummy, really need to put that on our list for the next trip! I'm a big bread lover too! sweet you got a special menu and desserts to celebrate! a beautiful walk after dinner with your special guy :goodvibes

Dinner ws very yummy and we will be back there next year for sure (we were going to go with Mary and the girls in December, but we decided to do Jiko instead and leave the girls at the kids club). It was a beautiful night for a walk too...no rain for a change.

Your anniversary dinner looked wonderful. :thumbsup2

It really was; we've eaten there three times now in the last nine months and it has been outstanding each and every time.

I don't blame you for requesting another dining location. I would have asked too and it would have been just me and my kids for a nice dinner, not special like an adults only anniversary one. It would annoy me to say the least to be beside an unruly table, but then the rest of the meal I would be getting a play by play from my youngest on what was happening at the other table; followed by her wanting to know why the kids were acting like that and/or why weren't their parents telling them to stop.

Good for your youngest! He obviously knows the right way to behave in public. :)

I am so happy that you thought to ask for another table! We had the same experience at Via Napoli one trip and I didn't ask for another table and it ruined our dinner. You know the type...the grandfather and son who think everyone in the restaurant want to hear their opinion on everything :rolleyes2 Oh well, I'll know better next time!

Queen, I remember you writing about that. I have found it is best to speak up.

Boy you and those two lovely ladies just keep running into each other....great planning or purely coinsidence?:thumbsup2

Yachtsman we knew about and our breakfast at Tusker House; the rest were all pure coincidence.

I am so happy you had such a lovely anniversary dinner:hug:

Thank you, Queen.

Yachtman's looks yummy! I actually think I would be ok eating there. Most signatures are way too fancy for my picky taste.

People have been there in shorts to eat (us included in December). The steak is to die for.

I need to remember to check out the Boardwalk Bakery when I go next week. We are thinking about having lunch there in February before my Cousin's wedding. We are thinking that might be a better choice than All Star Sports Food Court. ::yes:: Mom wants me to check out the seating situation as it might be chilly in February and we will want to eat inside. Mom and I were in there last November but neither of us can remember if there were inside seats or not.

There is NO inside seating that I can recall. In fact, the place is very small and gets crowded and you feel claustrophobic at times.

All caught up again yay!! Just got back from our week on Friday night so playing catch up.

So excited to read your TR.

First off:

I posted on FB but just wanted to mention here about how sorry I am for your sweet Cookie. My Willow girl is getting up there in age (16 yrs) and not sure how much longer she will be with us but I cannot imagine the day she is not. We all love our fur babies..

Thank you; it was a rough, rough week, but I'm doing better this week (although tomorrow will be touch as it will be the one week anniversary of losing her). I hope your fur baby stays awhile.

Yay another Dis meet in Epcot. (And with Brenda & Em) over & over....Ha ha. Wow you were both at Yachtsmen at the same time??? Jeff & I ate at LeCellier last week & I have to tell you we LOVE IT THERE!! Mushroom filet was melt in your mouth. Now you have me wanting to go to Yachtsmen badly!!! I cancelled for last week because we decided to do MNSSHP at the last minute. Maybe in May..

We were very disappointed in our dinner at Le Cellier in 2011 and the fact you can't make substitutions for certain things anymore; unfortunately, we have no intention of going back unless it's just for the soup and bread. Yes, we had ADR's about 45 minutes apart. I hope you get to go to Yachtsman in May.

Good choice on the Grand Marnier.:thumbsup2 Had mine on my last night there. I think it was gone in like 5 minutes.;)

I think mine are usually gone in 5 minutes too!

Aw Mark is a sweetie to go see the princesses with you. I wonder if my DH would do that? So I just asked him & he said sure why not (as long as the wait is not too long) ha ha. I LOVE that Rapunzel hammed it up with him. How great was that???

It was all Rapunzel's idea and, of course, Mark had to encourage it along. I'm glad your hubby will go with you.

I just started my TR-it is in my siggie-They Almost Left Without Me. Please come on along for the ride...We had such a great trip!!

I'm there and already commented.

Your entire meal at Yachtsman looks heavenly! I would need to try the lobster bisque soup! ::yes:: But the steak looks sooo good! The best I've ever had thus far has been at California Grille! MMmmmmmm.
Ok now I'm hungry and it's stronganoff for dinner here tonight. :(

Andy had the lobster bisque soup in December and LOVED it. We've never done California Grille; maybe one of these days.

The photo of you and Mark at your table was wonderful!! Good job Brenda!

Thanks, Linda (and thanks Brenda!).

Fun hat photos as always!!

We aim to please.

Boooo to those parents not maintaining some sort of control over kids in a nice restaurant. Go counter service if you can't keep them calm at a nice place.

I couldn't agree more.

It is amazing how some parents go on vacation and leave their parenting skills at home...oh wait...those might be the same parents who have horrible parenting skills at home as well...

Nini

You are probably right!

I always hear great things about Yachtsman. It sure looks good.

It really is, Jen; you should give it a try next time.

Cute pics! :)

Thank you.

Your anniversary dinner looks amazing! I love the decor!
I am really interested in that picture of the huge pieces of meat hanging- do they have a lot of things like that? Like do they carve all the meat where you can see? I love being able to see what they are doing in the kitchen!

I have yet to have a disappointing meal there. The decor is really great (I never did post the few pictures I took in there). I see this is answered below by someone else; there is no counter seating.

It's so cute that they gave you special menus! You guys look great and I adore Mark's Mickey Hawaiian Shirt!

I love that shirt of Mark's too. I got it for him at the Polynesian two years ago. He yelled at me for buying it because it was not cheap, but the man busts his butt all summer so we can take these trips, so I just ignored him.

Kathy those steaks look yummy!! Good or you asking for another table !!

They really are very good; pricey, but definitely worth it.

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to get over here, but I am terribly sorry about the loss of your sweet Cookie :grouphug: Pets are family and it is so hard to lose them, even if you know that they will be in a better place. I hope that you are doing as well as you can during this hard time.

Thank you very much. I'm doing better this week but I still think of her often and a single tear will slide down my cheek every once in awhile.

As for your updates, great as always :) You managed to get quite a few dis meets in during this trip, which is always fun. I'm glad that you both had such an enjoyable anniversary dinner and you looked lovely in your dress!

We did get a lot of DIS meets in this trip, and we have a lot we need to coordinate for December.

They have a meat cutting and dry aging room you can see. The kitchen is also open too...I don't think they have counter seating but I can't remember.

Jill in CO

That's awesome! Thanks for the info!

Thank you, Jill, for answering Maddiebee. And Maddiebee, glad Jill could answer you.

Yauctsmans looks great. It is on my to do list but not this year as we are paying oop and it is a little pricey with six of us.

It's pricey for two so I can certainly understand it being even pricier for six.

We have never gone to Boardwalk either and it looks so pretty with the light. What a great idea to stroll over there after dinner.

You must take a stroll over there on one of your trips.

Kathy- I just read about Cookie. I am so sorry for the loss of your precious companion. Our furry friends are such an important part of our families!

Thank you; they truly are our family.

Thanks for the hug.

It was nice reading about your visit with the kids, though. I am sure that was really special.

We had a good time with them, and we get to see them three weeks from this Saturday again.

What a nice time in the World Showcase!

It was (except for the rain).

That beer hat! :sad2: Does anyone really buy these?

I've seen a few really weird hats purchased, but not that one...as of yet. ;)

Hope that you missed most of the (early) 4:00 rain during the Voices of Liberty show. Did you stay for the American Adventure?

The rain started after we left America and arrived in Italy (am I remembering this right...is that the right order of the countries?). We didn't do American Adventure this time; we try to do it every other trip.

:woohoo: for meeting up with Brenda and Emmy in Mexico, in France and again at the Yachtsman!

It was becoming comical the way we kept running into them.

Your meals looked great! Happy Anniversary! Good for you for asking for a table location change. You did not need that aggravation during your special meal.

Thank you; we don't dine that special very often so I wanted to enjoy it.

:rotfl: I normally lose more weight on Disney trips than when I'm at home. I blame all the running around the parks. I don't normally walk that much :goodvibes

I walk every day about 12 blocks in all to and from the train station, plus all the walking I do in my office.

Luvin the purple mouse ears. I've said it before but disney definately need to pay you for advertising these things for them.

I will suggest that the next time we are there. :)

Good to read you got some positive news about Mark's job!

Thank you; I'm not too optimistic, but it works for now.

I'm glad you got to see Voices of Liberty! We've JUST missed them the past few trips, but hopefully we'll time it better next trip!

I have to remember to get a schedule each time or we'd miss them too.

Hooray for another dismeet! And a double hooray for a dismeet with a slush from France! They are oh so wonderful!

Slushies with friends are the best kind.

Loved your photopass pictures on the way out of Epcot!!

Thanks.

It really looks like you had a great meal at Yachtsman and you both looked fantastic!! The anniversary menus are definitely a sweet touch!

Thank you; Mark hates dressing up, but I get him to do it if we go to Yachtsman (even if dressing up means wearing khaki shorts!)

I also do not blame you for asking to wait for another table instead of sitting near a loud and crazy group! I don't understand how parents can just ignore their kids when they're acting SO inappropriately!

I don't understand why people are like that...I really don't..

Your stroll on the Boardwalk sounds like it was such a perfect ending to your evening! :)

It really was a perfect ending.

Thank you; the weekend was tough, but each day gets a little better. Mark and I were actually able to watch our shows on TV last night without having to wait and see them on the DVR since we didn't have to take her out every 30 minutes. But I still miss her curling up on the couch with me to watch TV.

Kathy, I am so glad to hear about Mark's job. Even though it's not the same as his commission, it sure does help until things change or the Lord opens another door for the both of you. ;)

Thanks, Bob. It's a start, but after his exchange with the "second" boss yesterday, I'm not expecting it to stick.

:sad2:

Thanks for understanding. I love kids, but there is a time and a place for that kind of wildness.

I thought it was so cool (is that word still used or am I just that old, LOL) that you were able to once again meet up with Brenda. She is one of several here on the DIS I would love to meet someday when back home at Disney. :goodvibes

Perhaps you'll get lucky and meet her in December. We are having coffee with them during our trip and I'm sure I'll be stalking her...I mean running into her...every once in awhile.

And I have to agree with you whole heartedly about Yachtsman over Le Cellier. I don't even rate LC as a top 5 and perhaps not even a top 10 for steak in WDW... I was not impressed with it at all and doubt I will ever go back there again.

We used to love LeCellier and would go every trip. But we felt after our last meal that it went way down hill and the quality of the meat was not as good, the service mediocre. I don't know if it is becasue it became a signature or what.

Awww....thanks, Brenda. It was a lovely meal, and made all more special becasue we saw you and Em again. Yes, I did tell you where we ate on our actual anniversary. So everyone else knows...it was McDonald's. Mark had a 7:30 game so we didn't have time to go out for a nice dinner. Plus I knew I had booked Yachtsman as a surprise for him.

It's a nice touch to give you a special anniversary menu.

It certainly is.

Thanks again to Mark for being our photographer. Em and I look rather evil in our group photo but you my dear look lovely!

I think we all look a little off. :lmao::lmao: I don't think Mark wanted to use the flash!

We wouldn't expect any less of Mark while browsing a gift shop. You got into the action as well I see.

Yes, I liked that hat so decided I should get a pic too.

Ahhhh mannnnn! Seeing Mark's Boardwalk Bakery treat reminds me that we were so close to that place and never made it over there for a cupcake. :(

Well, you'll be close in December so you should be able to get one.

Goofy4Prez: Thanks so much Bob! It is definitely mutual. I like the way you said "back home at Disney."

Brenda, I'm meeting Bob in December and hope you will be able to as well.

Great update Kathy!

Thanks, D.

I would have requested a different table too... We also witnessed come very naughty children on our trip - and parents too... Sigh.

I blame the parents more than the kids!

So happy you ended up with a much better and probably more romantic table the second time.

I was too. I really think if they had not moved us, we would have left.

The food looks amazing! I would love to eat there someday... It's somewhere I've never considered - and I think I need to.

Yes you do; it is pricey as I've said, but so worth it.

So happy you had a great Anniversary meal! The two of you are just adorable!

It was a wonderful meal; and thank you for thinking we are adorable.

And, of course... Another Dismeet... YAY!

D~

Yes, we had our good share of DIS meets this trip.

Kathy I sent you a friend request on Facebook...my real name is Judy Ales

I got it and accepted it. :)

:wave2:

Hi, Mo!

i'm finally catching up...
your updates are fantastic! Glad your getting in a more sunny mood. Talking Disney usually helps...

Thanks, Mo; yes, I'm getting a little "sunnier". I'm working on our schedule for December again which is a huge help.

your Anniversary dinner looks DIVINE!!! the picture of you guys is just too adorable.

Awww...thanks. :goodvibes

everything you are posting just looks like such a fabulous romantic trip. So funny people just think Disney as another entertaining amusement park. You are showing us the romantic side of Disney and it is what you make it to be!!!

Disney is NOT just for kids; it's for us BIG kids too. :)

Glad to hear about Mark and his job. Your always in my prayers!

With the three emails he's gotten in the last two days, I think that was just a way for them to try to get him to quit even more. I guarantee he'll be gone by the end of the year.

any thought in a new furry baby?

No, no new burry baby for us. Once we move to Florida, we probably will. But not until then.

I absolutely love that picture of the two of you at Yachtsman, just lovely! So very glad you asked for a different table, that would have been painful. What a lovely evening and dinner, a wonderful anniversary.

Thank you very much, Cynthia.

I am glad to hear there has been a little progress on the job front. I do hope he can find something else but this gives some breathing room and that is always good.

A little, but I'll fill you in at lunch tomorrow.

See you tomorrow!!

Can't wait to see you.

That's a long, long time in dog years. It really is a blessing to have had that much time with her.

Yes it is; and we truly were blessed to have her that long.

I'm glad to hear that! Sorry it's not ideal, but it certainly is better than nothing.

I would have thought yes, but after the email exchanges, I don't think so.

Love VoL.

They are good.

Totally lost count of the DIS meets at this point.:rotfl:

I may have too. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Sorry. We didn't mean to screw up your anniversary. Julie's given up on trying to control the rest of us. :rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:I think it's just you that Julie has given up on.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

It was very sweet of them.

Everything looked delicious!

It really was.

You spend lots of money!

Oh, and the hat thing too.:rotfl:

May have to stop that if Mark is out of a job. :sad2:

Oh my goodness, those steaks look SO good. I am totally craving steak now. I think I ate at Yachtsman once, but it was years ago and I don't remember it at all...based on your pictures, I think I'll definitely have to revisit it someday!

Nory, we really loe it there. I hope you get back soon.

Hi Kathy I've been playing catch up on all your news - big hugs, don't think I need to say anymore xx
Onto YSH - I agree with the others, the photo of you both together is just lovely :)

Thank you, Linda...very much appreciated.

I'm glad you like the photos...I'm rather fond of it too. :goodvibes

we really enjoyed Jiko when we had dinner there in 2011 after the AKL safari tour!

Oh boy catching up but a few comments Glad you are getting better days emotionally Its so hard I love her picture you decided on

If I'm reading right possible FL move sooner than originally planned Where ? When you are making the Dec plans would be wonderful to meet you and Mark Fred will be home Dec too

we really enjoyed Jiko when we had dinner there in 2011 after the AKL safari tour!

It's been on my bucket list for awhile so I'm looking forward to trying it.

Oh boy catching up but a few comments Glad you are getting better days emotionally Its so hard I love her picture you decided on

Thank you, Ruthie. I still have my moments...but it is getting a little better each day. That's one of my favorite pictures of her. I have to go in the basement and find some of her puppy pictures...I just am not quite ready for that yet.

If I'm reading right possible FL move sooner than originally planned Where ? When you are making the Dec plans would be wonderful to meet you and Mark Fred will be home Dec too

It all depends; I've committed to my boss for three more years (June 30 2016). But things change; he is getting older (he'll be 88 in January) and there is always the possibility of having a commuter marriage for awhile if need be (the boss only works three days a week now so it might be doable). We will see what happens at the end of the year.

We are in Disney late December 3 with a very early flight home on the 8th. I'll be doing a PTR when I'm done with this one and will be listing which parks we will be at each day. So if you happen to be at one of them on those days, I would love to be able to say hello.

This was our "relaxation" day. No parks. Sleep in a little to recharge our batteries (and at our age, we needed that recharging). Do a little laundry. Hang at the pool.

We slept until around 8 a.m. I got up and got dressed and then got Mark up to get dressed. We got some laundry together of things we wanted for our last couple of days and left it in the bag by the door We then walked over to the Hospitality House area for our breakfast at Olivia's scheduled for 8:30.

We were seated immediately. There was only two or three other tables occupied. I've said it before and will say it again...Olivia's is a hidden gem.

We ordered some juice and coffee for Mark and I ordered a cappuccino (I know Andy...no surprise there).

While waiting for our breakfast, I took a couple of pictures of the inside of the restaurant:

Soon our breakfast arrived. Mark's eggs and pancakes and bacon:

I had a cheese and ham omelet, breakfast potatos and toast:

Breakfast was very good and we will definitely be back.

We went back to the room, put our bathing suits on and grabbed the laundry and walked to the main pool. We found chairs, put our stuff down and went to start the laundry. Once I got the laundry started, I took some pictures around the pool area:

Continued in next post

More pictures around the pool:

I love how the sidewalks are even themed:

This is the life:

I went and got the laundry and came back to the pool where I had left Mark.

It was now 11:00 and it's vacation, right? So why not enjoy?

I walked over here

While waiting for my beverage, I took a few pictures:

Bags anyone?

And then I had it...my favorite drink in all of Disney World

We enjoyed the pool some more and then went back to the room and took showers to get ready for our afternoon/evening plans.

Up next, we go "offsite" and attempt some shopping
