NOOOOOO!!!!Unfortunately, there was an hour wait and the single rider line was not yet open for some reason so he never got to ride.
The last time the kids and I hang at the end and Jon went with the crowd for Fast Passes... then we were able to get on when the kids and I got there without too much of a wait.

LOVE me some DHS!! I do believe this has become my favorite park. I love to watch the sideshows that happen at random, and they have so many little shops to check out. I love to go into One Man's Dream and the Animation Studio.
Linda, I am the opposite; DHS is really our least favorite park. Mark and I each do our thrill ride, we do TSM, Star Tours, Animation if there isn't a long wait and we are ready to go. But they do have great shops.
Oh, and of course, they have TSM, ToT, Star Tours and RNRC! Just a minor thing.
And it's only a relaxing boat ride away from Epcot where you can go to get a really good meal.
It does have the advantage of being a boat ride away from Epcot.

One day we will have to ride ToT together it is one of my favorite rides.
Pat, I would LOVE that. I get tired of riding it by myself. I'm hoping that Avery and Cayley will ride with me in December.
Too bad Mark couldn't ride RnR. I hate when that line gets like that.

I had to LOL at Mark's photo of you going through bag check... Clearly he didn't have a bag... Maybe next time - he can carry your bag so he can do bag check too.
He is always asking me why I have to carry a bag. Well, let's see: Where would I put your regular glasses when you don't need your sunglasses, as well as mine, where would I put my camera and cell phone when doing Big Thunder, and the ponchos, and my money? Seriously, the man has no clue sometimes.
Yay for getting TSM FPs... We never do the run... It's a fun ride - but we usually grab FPs when we walk past there for later (waaaay later). We like spending our morning at ToT and RnR.
It's my favorite ride after TOT, but I no longer do the run. If I don't get on it first thing, no problem. As long as I get a fastpass early in the day since we tend to leave by 1 or 2. I can't pass up TOT so I've learned to ride it myself.

And sooooo BUMMED we missed the characters under the hat... I just LOVE those outfits they are wearing - but we were so distracted on our one DHS day, we were never in the right place at the right time.
We were going to stop for more, but it was sooooooooooooooo hot that Mark's shirt was covered in sweat and we hadn't even been there that long.

I notice you used the word "followed" when describing how you venutred to TSM. I'm like you, I will follow but there is no way I'm getting in the middle of the insanity that makes the "running of the bulls" seem civil.
Used to do the running...but no more.
I will never forget my first time to WDW and being at the rope drop. All I heard was I had to get to TSM first thing in the morning. I had no idea it could come at the expense of lost limbs. (though I hear it's not as crazy anymore).
It really isn't as bad as it used to be.
I'm loving this TR and one of the highlights of a KatMark trip report is seeing Mark and his conquest to try on every hat in the Kingdom. When we meet in December I'm going to have to get in on one of those pictures with him.
