Thank you everyone.
Today the pre-trip stuff was not so good. Husband went to get Son a ticket at the Disney Store (we will exchange it for AP when there) but they had run out! He will try a different store tomorrow. We are putting most purchases on a hotel charge card but Husband went to get a few Euros for the tolls and to have a bit of cash in pocket. Well, I knew the exchange rate was bad, but I was + . He got Euros at 0.835 pounds - what rubbish!

I still haven't packed or even washed all that we will want to take.

I know what you mean about the rate, I went to get some today for a day trip to France. Although it could have been worse as many predicted it would be nearly 1 euro to £1

The Etap hotel is really easy to find as a previous poster mentioned it is near the Cite Europe shopping centre, it is well sign posted (the hotel & shopping centre)

Cite europe has many restaurants & Carrefore is usually open until 10pm so you can stock up on snacks.

That really would have made us change our plans a bit. Bread and jam for tea, anyone?

Husband got the ticket today - 1 day hopper for £35. It says 51 Euro on the back of the ticket, so I am hoping that's what they will deduct from the cost of Son's AP.

Son has now gone from 'not all that bothered' to 'unable to sleep last night'.
When I woke at 4.45 am (not that I was excited myself, or anything. ) both he and Husband were up watching the Olympics. The only one who slept in to a reasonable time was the 10 year old amongst us.
Apparently we are setting off 'just after the 100m mens final'.
