It's 3:53 PM, sunny and 71 degrees according to the thermometer on my porch. I have the sliding glass doors open and I can hear kids playing in the creek behind my house.![]()
Oh I'm soooo jealous! But that's ok, in about 3 months...we'll be having 71 degree days again!![]()
It's 7:55a and 30 degrees, with sun.
Wic, I think the people next to me had more water in there basement. We went away this weekend and when we got home. There is this big blue tarp nailed to the side of the house(next door not mine). I guess that keeps the water away from the foundation. It looks so badnow I have to see stuff all over the yard and this big blue thing on the house. I wish I know how to down load pic's. I would show everyone
This is the only house on our street that's a mess. Why do I have to live next to it
Ok thanks for letting me vent. Hope your basement is ok

Hey Pooh,
We had a little bit of water yesterday....NOTHING like last week though, yesterday was completely manageable with a wet/dry vac!
I can imagine that your neighbors house must look like a mess...but I can totally sympathize with them right now! Our back yard is pretty messed up right now too, as we had to plow the snow away so the water could run away from the house last week! It really stinks when you are in a losing battle with Mother Nature, dang woman always seems to win!Cut them some slack right now, unless their house is always a mess...if it's always a mess, then go and dope slap them!

IT'S ALWAYS A MESS. The thing with the water in there basement has been going on for years. I think it's just getting really bad now. They are the kind of people that start a project and never really seem to finish it. They have had a rug on there fence since I went away last June. I think some garden tools are in the yard too! You know you start to garden and it gets to hard so you stop, and don't put anything away.
Glad to hear about your basement, that's a good thing.
If my husband had his way, that would be our yard too! He's been building a garage (really big one) for 3 years now...he leaves his cr*p all over the place too. The garage project is winding down though, once it's complete..my yard is getting a total landscape overhaul! I've been eyeballing the directgardening website for 6 months now, I've got my list already..all I have to do is hit send! I'm always telling my husband, if you take it out...put it away! And the thing that really stinks is that DD is just like him!
Ugh, I'm so jealous of everyone having warmer weather now. It's 7:55am and 3 degrees here with a wind chill of -15.![]()

There's also ice covering all the sidewalks and parking lots. I need skates to get from my car to the building where I work.![]()
As you can guess that would really bother me too! I have to put things away right after I use them. I even had the daycare kids doing that, you can't take anything out untill you put the thing you have away. They did it too! I don't understand why people can't do itit's not really that hard. Oh well that's what makes it interesting I guess. We all can't be the same, but it sure would be nice in some ways.
Oh it drives me absolutely insane too! I love to pick things up after my husband just to move it, and see how long it takes him to realize it's missing! Then when he asks, I get into my well put the d*mn thing away when you're done with it and you won't have this problem!
With my daughter, I just drag a trash can into her playroom and start throwing things away...that forces her to start cleaning up her stuff! Yeah I know, I'm a bad mommy!
