Well I could stop building the Ark today. It's a truly lovely day. Sunny 74 with a slight breeze. Suppose to cool down here next week with highs in the 60's. Great sleeping weather.

Same here, really nice out there today. I think after work I will finally get a chance to cut the grass.

I will try my best to drive down and take some. Still not sure if we're going yet or not. Depending on which the wind is blowing, sometimes they fly by our house. I'm hoping the wind brings them our way again. I took off the Friday before we leave to Vegas. That's the day for special shape balloons. Might try to go that day and night.

We usually fly when we go to Vegas. We drove once and have determined flying and renting a car is definitely easier. Plus we are going with my mom and sister. My mom doesn't do well on road trips, so flying is easier for her. We'll be doing a road trip close to your neck of the woods in November. We bought DW a new car this year and we decided on a little road trip with some friends. We're headed to Phoenix though.

I hope we win as well. At least enough to keep us playing for a while. I know you're headed out this weekend as well. Good luck to you. Hope you win big. Enjoy your trip and drive safely.

November will be a beautiful time for Phoenix. I don't know if any of you are football fans, but The University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale (right outside of Phoenix) conducts daily tours of their facility. My husband and I took some out of town friends on one of the tours last year and it was a lot of fun. It's quite the stadium and I believe it's the only stadium that has a football field on wheels. It can be wheeled outside for fresh air and sunshine, then wheeled back into the stadium for games.

Here's my weather report for today.

Heather and I got to the Balloon Fiesta park at 5:45 AM. When we got there, it was cool, but a chilly 57 degrees. Thank goodness we had the heat from the hot air balloons (getting ready to do what they call Dawn Patrol) to help keep us warm.





About 6:15 they took to the sky to test the winds and weather conditions.





At about 6:45, the sun started to come out and the pilots were given a go for launch; and started filling their balloons.





At 7:00 AM, the National Athem was played and the balloon Fiesta was officially under way. By this time it had only warmed up to 59 degrees.



You could see balloons everywhere.



Partly cloudy with a chance of seeing balloons.





There were tourists everywhere.



About 8:00 AM the skies had cleared up and all there were blue clear skies. Oh and the balloons.









Closer to 9:00 AM, really started to warm up. About up to 63 degrees and the bees started to come out.





All the balloons finally landed about 10:00 AM as it was really starting to get warm. Heather and I finally left about 11:00 AM. We walked around for bit looking at all the merchandise and eating the good food. I hope you enjoyed my weather report for the day.

Oh Yeah. Current time is 7:10 PM and it's currently 77 degrees.

Thanks. Between Heather and I, we took over 400 pictures. Some will need to be edited and we'll post a link to all the pictures we took that morning. The one's I posted were ones I thought came out great the first time and didn't need any editing at all.

Next time we go to San Diego, we'll keep September in mind. Seems you had lovely weather in September. Of course we'll probably stay at the same place again. Loved being right next to the beach/ocean. Would love to do dinner at Gregorio's again. Been craving their bacon wrapped scallops. We had great company that night as well.

Thanks Anna. They say chances of rain tomorrow and Tuesday. I hope they're right on that and hope it doesn't rain until later on in the day, so it doesn't interfere with the balloon events. There's usually no evening events Mon, Tue or Wed. So really hope for good weather while it is on.

8:55 AM. Cool 61 degrees and some balloons have found their way close to our house this morning. Can see them all in the distance, but it sure is fun to go to the balloon fiesta park and see them up close.

It is 11:08a here at MCO...and it is a GORGEOUS 74 degrees outside...with a small light breeze...It was in the low 60's this morning...FALL HAS ARRIVED in FL!!!!

400 pictures!!! Well I will say you and Heather took some absolutely fabulous pictures!!! You should pick some out, have prints made and frame them!!! AND the combo of such a beautiful day!!!

Mike, September was amazing in SD, actually our whole summer was fabulous. None of that horrid marine layer. Just lovely temps all summer and it continues. We just are thrilled as its October and still feels like summer.

We are off to hike for the day TORREY PINES STATE RESERVE!!!

Mike, September was amazing in SD, actually our whole summer was fabulous. None of that horrid marine layer. Just lovely temps all summer and it continues. We just are thrilled as its October and still feels like summer.

We would love to go back to SD (Carlsbad). Even though it was practically marine layer everyday we were there (except for the day we got there), we had a lot of fun. I just don't know when we would actually go back. I know it won't be next year. We're headed back to WDW around the holidays. Week after Thanksgiving, but before the Christmas rush. Probably won't be until August 2013 for Heather's and I anniversary, that we make it back your way. We want to DL as well. If I can manage to swing it so we can go earlier, we will. We'll see what happens. If I manage it, I'll let you know so we can do dinner again. Or maybe next time we can spend a day at DL together. Wouldn't that be fun.

As for SUN Diego …. umm, not so much today and actually looks like through Thursday … gray overcast clouds and cool, 65 degrees @9:32am

I just looked at the temp for in here, it's 70 but I am a little chilly. We haven't turned our heat on yet. Trying to hold off for a while because of the price of oil They say this weekend is going to be great in the mid to high 70's and SUNNY!

Your dance seems to be helping a little. It was raining for a little bit this morning, but then it stopped again. Better chances for more rain later on in the day. Slight chances for mountain snow later on in the week. It would need to rain for a week straight, non stop, to help relieve our current drought conditions.

Cloudy and cool today. 63 degrees at 12 noon.
