What time/info to put in for DME

We will get to MCO on a Sat night around 11:30 pm with two toddlers. Our plan is I will bring the kids and check in at the Hyatt in the airport while my husband gets our bags so I can get them straight to bed and save time and few $$$ vs going to the Contemporary that night. In the morning we will take the DME to the Contemporary to drop off our bags with bell services and head to AK. What info do I put in the DME boxes online? Do I even HAVE to fill them out? It doesn't give me the option of only partially filling them in. It wants departing/arriving airport, airline, flight number, and time for both arrival and departure. If I put in my actual flight number which arrives at night can I just get on early the next morning?

Good question.

This is just my speculation, so don't trust it! lol (I would call and clarify if I were you...) Having said that; since you are getting your own bags, you won't need to use the yellow tags sent to you by Magic Express. You'll grab your bags just like normal, so the only issue is when you're getting on the bus. I believe that you can access DME if you have a valid hotel confirmation for one of the Disney Hotels at anytime after your arriving flight for the day you are going to the hotel (I would print out your confirmation email/number for your Contempo stay to show if necessary). I'd probably still put in the accurate info, because your return to the airport needs to be on there as well, and that way it shows you legit flew in on a real flight at a time prior to boarding the bus.

The biggest "hitch" is that you won't have a Contempo reservation for the actual date you arrive (Saturday) so I don't know if that will mess up the DME reservation or not...

I have read others have just selected a random flight for the day/time they want to get on ME and used that. There's really no harm in doing so as nobody is checking and the exact time you board really isn't all that important. It just gives them a heads up on how many buses they need to plan for.

Just put in the information from a random flight the morning that you are planning on taking ME.

Bypass the one-size-fits-all online problem by calling DME directly at 866-599-0951. Explain your situation and they will know how to handle it for you; you won't have to figure out dummy flight information and so on.

Unless something has recently changed, it is important to have a DME reservation. By contract with the airport authority, Disney isn't supposed to offer DME rides to walk-ups (Disney guests without DME reservations), but on the other hand I've certainly read numerous first-hand accounts of people getting a ride with no problem. I guess I'm saying make the reservation to make sure you don't get turned away.

My stepson and his girlfriend are arriving the night before us and staying at the airport hotel until we arrive the next day. Our TA gave the MDE our flight information so it looks like they are arriving the same time as us. She said just make sure to not put the yellow tags on...

Just in case anyone else comes up with the same question... I ended up calling the DME line 866-599-0951 and here is the answer I got: Just show up without a DME reservation after we check out whenever we decide to check out they said it will be no problem since it is our resort arrival day. They won't put any information in for me. They did take my departure info though.
