What time for H&V reservations before Fantasmic?

What time would I make reservations for H&V to get into the Fantasmic Show? The show is at 8:30, I"ve read I should be there by 7:30, what do you do for an hour with kids sitting waiting for a show? Is it necessary to be there for an hour, is H&V close by, I want to consider how long it would take to get to show area from the restaurant. I"m making my ADR's this Friday!!

We always make our reservations for right after the afternoon parade...about 4:30 or so. We like to walk off our meal before sitting down!
We've always gone to get our seats about 30 minutes before show time and not had any problems. The entrance is along the main drag...I don't know the name but it's the place where you rent wheelchairs. There is a back entrance and you walk up along a path and into the stadium.
