If the Magic Kingdom fireworks are scheduled for 9:00 pm, would you take the 7:50 pm or 9:20 pm reservation for California Grill?

Thank you for the help! :goodvibes

We are doing a 920. The park closes at 9 so rather then leaving early we will watch the parade, head to CR to watch Wishes and have dinner right after. Saves us from missing any time in the park and a new view of Wishes.:thumbsup2

7:50..you're ADR may be for that time, however, that doesn't necessarily mean they are going to seat you exactly at that time. If you go for the later time, there is no way you are going to be at your table in order to see them. I am sure there are people that are going to "stall" in order to see the fireworks from their table. That is if your main priority is to see them from the table. Either way you could always walk outside and see them...Depends on how late you want to eat as well. Figure with a 7:50 ADR, you might be eating by 8:30...9:20 ADR you will be eating earliest 9:50...

I would go with 7:50. We have 7:35 reservations because that's the only time we could get, so I'm hoping it's good enough. I don't mind eating and then watching them after we eat, though.

If you don't mind watching from the balcony, I'd take the 9:20, but check-in well before that and get a good spot on the balcony at least fifteen minutes before the fireworks. Then you should be able to have a nice meal in a much less crowded restaurant.

Question please: If I have a ressie at 9:15 and am seated relatively close to that time...can you see the fireworks from your table? Thanks in advance. Just wondering if I should start trying to get an earlier time (no luck so far) or if we can see them anyway without going to the balcony.

There is no guarantee that you will have a window seat facing MK; everybody wants one and those who get them before fireworks are going to drag their meal out to keep those seats. We have waited up to an hour past our ADR time to be seated at any table (we've never been willing to wait for an MK view spot); standing in a small area because the lounge is already full of others waiting to be seated.

We have dined here many times and personally, I much prefer to dine here after the fireworks because the place empties and it's then a quieter meal. This place is noisy when it's full.

I would do the 7:50. We had a res for 7:25 and our waiter spaced out our meal so our dessert was just before Wishes (which was at 10:00 pm). Just know that people will sit and wait for wishes (and their waiters will time their meals to coordinate), even if their reservations are almost 3 hours before fireworks. The view from the top of the CR is also unbelievable, and it'd be nice to see during the daylight:)

Our reservation is 920p which the concierge made when we requested to be there for Wishes.
We were there three years ago for the fireworks and I think we were able to see them from our table which I think was in front of the bar.
But five years ago we were in the Wine Room and we had to get up to go see them.
