What time does toontown open up? (and other assorted questions)

If we are at MK at opening on a Tuesday, could we head right to toontown and get the dreaded autographs and character meet and greets out of the way before the crowds kick in? Or, does toontown open later than the rest of the MK? We are scheduled for a tour at 10am so I thought this might be a good way to spend this first hour.

What do you think?

Ok, while this was trying to post I was in another screen trying to get park hours and parade/fireworks times for the first week in June. Apparently I can't get this info yet. Anybody know when park hours will be released for June?

What park has EE on Sunday and Tuesday?

I can answer 2 of your questions...

Toontown usually opens at 10:00a.m.; at least the last 3 times we were there (in the Fall). They always open at least an hour after the park opens.

Sunday is MK day and Tuesday is Disney Studios day.

Yeah!

That's great because we are planning on Epcot on Sunday and MK on Tuesday and even though we are staying onsite, I think the EE would have increased the crowds.

Eventhough June hours are not out yet, I can assume a 9am opening for Epcot on Sunday and MK on Tuesday can't I? Anybody got any guesses for closing hours on these two days(the first week in June).

I guess my plan to hit Toontown before our 10am tour isn't gonna work. Bummer! I thought I read about somebody hopping right on the train when they entered and being at Toontown first thing with no lines.

Epcot and MK hours - early June - at worst would be be 0900-0600 for Epcot Future World and 1100-0900 for World Showcase and 0900-0700 for MK - these seem to be the latest base minimum hours for weekdays

That's what I thought too. How can I find out for sure??

Also, thanks for the Guestimate on park hours....those were pretty much what I was thinking.

Our experience in September 2001: the week after Labor Day

My DD and I did Fantasyland for EE, while DS and DH did the Train Tour Thing. Just by chance, we ended up at the entrance to Toontown for RopeDrop, which was at 9:00 am, as EE ended. Mickey and Minnie were there: they took DD's hand, let her parade between them to officially open Toontown.

We went straight to Barnstormer--and she got the first ride on it, with Goofy in the front seat.

A whole pile of characters were there, with her as their sole customer until the first train came in. We made it thru Minnie and Mickey's house with no line, and even had time to play on the boat before the space mountain fp. Even after the first train came through, things were very quiet for about 20 minutes, then it filled up and became the lines from h** to see the characters. I would recommend you confirm with Guest services the toontown opening times. If you can do Fantasyland for EE, then be at the toontown rope right at opening, I would highly recommend it as our best time/heat cutting experience for our entire trip. If you don't want to do it on an early entry day, then your best option is to be at the gate for opening, try to get on the first train ride, and get there immediately. By 10 it's a zoo.
