What time does the online dining system switch days

Hi

Can anyone advise what time the online dining system switches over to the next day? We are a large party hoping for an 11:30 at Blue Bayou so I feel it's in my best interest to be ready as soon as the reservation window opens!

For online booking???
I believe so. In 2017 I was making Halloween party reservations for blue bayou and had to set an alarm to wake up for my booking window. The site follows east coast time. So 6am for east coast, 3am for west coast

That seems backwards. If the day isn't switching over at midnight pacific, and follows east cost, it should actually flip over 3 hours earlier (midnight eastern time).

If it isn't tied to actual time, 3am makes as much sense as any other time, but the site does not appear to be in east coast time to me; it might be based on your own settings. I'm in central time zone right now, and all the times appear to be pacific to me.

It’s weird but I think that’s correct. You’ll find how wonky some things are as you plan trips lol Because when special tickets go on sale, it’s midnight.

I would like to say that, in my experience, there is absolutely no need to book dining at the first possible moment - 3AM or otherwise. That is a WDW-type thing.

Yes, however with large party bookings quite often the first seating time is your only available option making it a bit more critical to book early.

Very true for smaller parties and regular reservations. But for things like Halloween party packages, times fill up very fast! When I woke up at 3am, I got one for 5:30pm. The other times left were only 7pm and 9:30 pm.

Also opening day reservations for places can fill up very fast (I.e Lamplight lounge)

It kind of worked out. I didn’t wake up at 4am because I figured 6am would be sufficient. I managed to get the 11:30 but it won’t let me use my MasterCard to confirm. So I have to log in to my account and link my CC and then search again. I did get 11:40 but all my subsequent searches bring up 12:30 or later. We want to sit waterside and I don’t know if that will happen now. Oh well

Sorry to break some news to you, but all the waterside tables typically are for 2-4 people with the larger tables being in the center of the room for larger parties. My recommendation for waterside tables is to split up your party if possible. Just a thought and I hope you have a fantastic vacation!!

I have dined at BB twice with a party of 6. So I am an expert of sorts on that LOL. There are two waterside tables that can handle 6. So you really have to push hard if you have a bigger group to get those tables. An 11:30AM res is pretty important.

Good to know! We will be sure to check in early and hopefully we get one, but it’s ok if we don’t. We’re taking our kids and my parents are joining us and we went the BB on our first trip (in 1992) and my mom and dad want to experience it with my kids. I see that F! Might be back up so we will be trying for a dining package and would prioritize that.
