What time does the Magic arrive in port?

Hi all,
We are on one of the West coast cruises and are anxious to see the boat. I was hoping to take the kids down to San Pedro on the morning of May 28th to see the Magic come into LA. I know the say the arrive at 8:30am but I have a feeling that it actually arrives earlier. Anyone know what time the boats get in to PC? And secondly are they consistant on arrival time. Hoping to take a few pictures of the arrival. Thanks to all.

If I remember correctly....I'm thinking it was more like 5:30-6:00 am. I know it was still dark out and I remember the noise from them unloading the luggage.

Not sure about the west coast though.....it might be a little later for the first cruise in since it's suppose to be a big deal entering LA. And with all the press.

On the three DCL cruisies that we have taken I have been up each time we arrived at PC and that was between 5 and 5:30am. But like Travis said, (Hi Travis) I'm sure there is going to be some special fanfare when the Magic arrives in CA on May 28th.

The Harbor Pilot, is scheduled to Board the Magic at 6 am.
How long it take from the point that the Harbor Pilot boards I do not Know ...

And They May have something planned as the Magic arrives at the port.

We are hoping for some fanfare and plan on being there. If we are not there in the morning, we will definitely be there in the afternoon to watch the first west coast cruise leave.

What a great idea! We are on the East bound Repo cruise and my kids think it's a small boat. I will be there too on that Saturday because I want my kids to see how big it is. I have a feeling that the media will be there too. I hope to just drive by to get a glimpse of the Magic. Can't wait until August 20th!!!

I am also on the August repo cruise and your kids will flip when they actually see how big the ship is!!! I guess it is really hard for kids to visualize something like a cruise ship if they have never been on one!!!!

We have three kids....21, 20 and 17 and we have been sailing with DCL since day one (we were on the Maiden Voyage of the Magic)....unfortunately, there was media and celebrity fanfare the day before for the press....but none for the passenger sailing)...but I do think they will have some press coverage out in CA.....
