What time does it get dark?

Hi we are leaving for LA and Disney in just over 2 weeks, travelling from New Zealand. I just wondered what time it gets dark in Anaheim?

As you can see, right now sunset is at 7:21 pm

It's been getting dark around 7:30pm these days. Shouldn't be much different in two weeks.

I use SunriseSunset.com too. Attached is a Disneyland calendar! The site gives a nice monthly calendar layout for sunrise/sunset and civil, nautical, and astronomical twilight. I went in and added the specific coordinates for the park.

All those twilights sound confusing, but remember, it's not dark at sunset. That's only when the sun sets below the horizon. The sun still provides a level of sky illumination for the next 18 degrees of Earth movement. So, if you want to know when it's truly dark out, check the astronomical twilight time.

You can add it, like I did below. I added the park's longitude and latitude for a custom chart. So it's not just Anaheim, but "Disneyland"!

At the bottom of the page, you can choose a different month. For example, you can move the calendar forward or backward one month at a time, or hop one year ahead.

Now, off to go do a workout tape! Got to get 'dem legs ready for park walking!
