What time does everyone wake up?

Call me a "morning type" and I am way too excited to sleep in on our park days...I get up at 6:30am, take my shower and get dressed. I set my clothes out night before, so I am done in the bathroom and DH can have it around 7am. He is very fast and we are out of the room by about 7:20am on our way to breakfast..

When the kids were with us we used to have them shower at night, I would get up first get dressed and let DH have the bathroom after that....DS and DD wanted to sleep as long as possible, so we got them up last and they would throw on clothes and go.....

When we stay overnight in WDW we wake up around 7am, get dressed and head to the busses. When we drive over for the day, we get up around 8am, pick up breakfast on the way and are parking around 10am or 11am depending on how fast we got dressed, etc.

I bring an alarm clock and have the wake-up call and we wake up
at least by probably 5am -5:30 am or so, that way we have enough
time to shower and go downstairs (free hotel breakfast) and eat breakfast.

Breakfast - we eat by 7:00 am, finish by 7:30 am and leave for the parks.
as long as we get there a little bit before they open, that's good enough i guess.

Sometimes it helps to tell yourself that ur getting "14 hours sleep" and your mind thinks it's the truth so ur body can feel more rested. Works wonders !!
::yes:: ::yes::

My husband needs at least an hour or an hour & 1/2 to get ready-
he takes a long shower ( I keep telling him he's not in a Coast commercial and to hurry up) and he gels his hair, dries it, brushes teeth, etc. - :badpc:

while I take about 30 mins. if i'm rushing (from waking up to makeup and hair done and ready to go out the door) to 1 full hour.

What do yall think?

1. How long does your husband take to get ready
VS.
How long do you? Ladies?

:scratchin :scratchin :badpc:

My husband takes 20 minutes to a 1/2 hour depending on shaving etc... he loves to say to me..."I'm dressed... are you ready?"

I have always been a morning person--even at Disney. I usually wake up by 6:30, get showered and dressed, and then go get a bite to eat and fill up that refillable mug. After a quick bite and a restful walk around the resort or just sitting by the lake/pool, I then get some food for the rest of the group and head back to the room. It works out for me and the sleepyheads in the family.

Although, if we specifically want to hit an early opening or early breakfast then we go with alarm clocks commando-style!

My DH takes way longer than me in the AM.. He takes forever in the mens room and then a 20+ minute shower. I am a shower in the PM type gal (very thick hair that doesn't dry easily). I also like to feel clean after a long day in the theme parks in July!!! Let's just say I was able to "lure" my husband into a PM shower...it solved the problem!!! (We have no children and were on our honeymoon!!)

So....in the AM he would get up early and get ready and go get breakfast, which allowed me to sleep in a bit and then have the room to myself while he was gone. I can be ready to go out the door in 20 minutes. He is good about bringing me breakfast (that's the best part!!!!!)

We always spend time at DTD just about every night until 12:00 p.m.-1:00 a.m. NO we dont party away we just shop and walk. So we usually sleep untill 7:00-8:00. But it depends on what we all have planned. But one thing we do always plan on it that we take one day to sleep in late or just relax the in the morning for a while. Otherwise we end up becoming cranky and irritable due to the rush we put ourselves through. We found this to be such a stress reliever. After all we are on vacation why kill ourselves. Unfortunately the last trip we took I became ill the second day. DH did a lot on his own. I spent a lot of time in bed. So I should be fully rested for our next trip and will rise and shine at 4:00 a.m.LOL.
