What time does everyone start the day? Me and the fiance are ones for sleeping in. Of course we want to get every bit of Disney that we can so what time do you suggest we start our breakfast and parks?

:wave2: Hi! What time of year are you planning on visiting? If you go when it is not too crowded, I wouldn't see too big of a problem with sleeping in. I'm an early riser. Even if DH and the kids are still sleeping, I'll get up and roam around on my own. We always go during the summer and I find it necessary to be on hand for the parks opening. Late evening crowds are tolerable at most places. I would just try to avoid the midday if you are going in the summer.

For us 6:30 am. This gives us time to get to the park early. We leave after a few hours and then go to the pool, waterpark or DTD. The parks are too crowded after 11:00 am and we don't like to wait in line. If the wait is more than 10 minutes we bypass it. We go back to the parks in the evening. That is our daily routine, except for the first day which is always MK no matter what time or which day; we need to get that magic feeling right off.

When at WDW, my bf and I usually stay out til like 1 or 2 am. We usually wake up around 9-10 am.

It all depends on which park, what time of year, and how many things you want to see and do. Also, if you plan on leaving the park in the mid-afternoon, you should get there earlier, however, if you don't plan on leaving once you get there and you don't mind of you don't see everything, then sleeping in is just fine. :mickeybar

I start my day at 6:00-6:30. However, my 2 DDs get up around 8:00.
I can't and don't want to sleep when I'm at WDW.

Since I wake up early everyday during the weekday to prepare the kids to school, the kids and I just sleep in and we don't head out until about noon.
We wake up about 9 and then we just hang around the room, watch tv, take showers, and eat whatever is leftover we have from last night.

We usually get up around 8:00 am - give or take 1/2 hour depending on if we have a PS for breakfast and how far we have to go to get there. We usually try to plan our breakfast close to the hotel where we are staying the 1st and last morning - that allows us a little extra time to sleep and/or pack. If we are going to be out late on a given night, we plan to come back to the resort around 3:00 and take a nap. This works well for us.

Well Im not a morning person but we get to the parks pretty early, but we also leave them pretty early as well so we can enjoy the pool and take naps. So I would say we start our day around 7ish....

We do early entry every morning it is offered, so we are usually up about 6 am. There is no such thing as sleeping in at WDW... you miss the best part of the day at the parks..... of course, go ahead and sleep in, less crowds while we are there!;)

4 of our 14 mornings we're planning on getting up early to be at park openings - 1 at ea park
the other days we'll start with me pool & DS sleeping - those will be late nights

We have kids who get up pretty early, but we've never actually made it to a park opening! :) We usually take our time, have coffee, breakfast in the room and get to the parks sometime after 9. :earsboy:

I'm up before sunrise, step out quietly so as no to wake my friend, head over to the GCH for a cup of coffee from the Kona coffee bar. I then find the perfect chair at the big window that looks out over the lake, with a direct view of Cinderella's castle. We usually do one Extra Hours morning, but usually are on our way by 9a.m.

We normally are up by 5am everyday at home, at Disney we sleep in (!) until 6 or 6:30, usually are on the first bus or boat at 7:15am.

We are early risers at home 5-5:30 am so I am anticipating we will easily get up and going for park openings most days. Hopefully we can get a lot of rides in before the big crowds, then head back to the hotel to swim and then go back in the evening for the fireworks, etc.

I like to be at each park at or near opening to avoid crowds. I'm hoping to get everyone (DH, DS3, DD1) up around 6:30 so we can get a nice sit-down breakfast. Lately, DS and DD have been getting me up around 6 a.m. EST, so if we don't keep them out late every night for fireworks, should be o.k.

Last trip, we went with family and never made it to a park before 10 a.m. -- ugh! I just about went nuts thinking of all the fun we could have had instead of waiting for extended family members to style their hair! :sad2:

We try to be there for every early entry day. Then head back to the resort for a little nap or swim and then head to another park for the evening. Our afternoon nap allows us to get as much sleep as those that sleep in. And getting there earlier means we get more done. The best of both worlds, in my opinion.

I'd sleep in if I could, but my kids are early risers and usually up by 6-6:30. Most of our breakfasts are in the 8:30 - 9:00am range because I figure it will take us a good hour to get showered and out for the morning. With the kids being up later than at home I am guessing they will probably sleep in a little later, and we will probably be waking them to get to our PS's on time.

Who sleeps on a Disney vacation??!! Mickey usually wakes us up around 6:30. DH heads out to get coffee while I dress, then we head to breakfast around 7:15. We're usually in the bus line around 8:00, there for opening and stay til we get thrown out at closing. We've done the pool break on extended vacations, but we both end up feeling we're wasting good park time! We do plan "days off" to relax and catch up, just not on park days.
