What time does DDP start and likelihood of having to move rooms?

The airfare for our Thanksgiving trip is much more than I had expected. I added 1 night room only stay at the front and back end of our package. We are staying at Pop.

2 questions:

  1. What time does the dining plan start?
  2. How likely will we have to move to another room? I'm thinking that it might burn a lot of time if we have to check out and then wait to get our new room. Will they be able to tell me if we will have to move on our 1st check-in day or do we need to wait and see?
TIA!

1. The dining plan credits will become available on the day the package starts, but you will be able to access tickets if they are included in your package on your arrival day.

2. Are all three reservations for the exact same room category? If they are you can indicate you have a continuing reservation and request to remain in the same room. There's no guarantee, but they will do their best. When you arrive you can remind the front desk castmember again and ask if you will be in the same room.

If the reservations are for different room categories you will have to move. You'll have to pack, arrange to have your bags held by luggage assistance and go about your day. When you return later in the day, you can check in to your new room and either pick up your bags or call luggage assistance once you're in your room.

It's quite a bit more work for Mousekeeping to clean a room fully for turnover than it is to do daily tidying up. If there is an available room, it's to their advantage to keep you in it for your stay and just do one deep clean at the end, rather than have to do a full clean on 3 rooms for your same length of stay. So no guarantees because availability trumps all, but with good communication on your part, they're going to want to work with you, both for your satisfaction and their bottom line.
