What time do you take your afternoon breaks?

My kids tire very easily, so we go back to the hotel at 12 pm or so, and return to the parks around 5:30 pm. We don't nap, but hang out at the hotel and swim. Next time we go I plan on shortening that break time a little.

We always take our after noon break from 3ish to 5:30ish.

I take care of the maid issue by calling the front dest as we leave in the morning, and letting them know that we are leaving and want them to clean up our room now. They always get it done before we get there.

I can't imagine not taking a break at Disneyland. It feels SO much better to do so. I love taking a shower when we get back to the hotel and putting on fresh clothes, and grabbing a hoodie to wear for fireworks. That nap mid-day, also feels incredible. It really is the little things in life!:goodvibes

We do, but I know it isn't for everyone. Our DD3 just falls asleep in her stroller when she's tired, so she takes a nap wherever we happen to be. Then at night, she does the same. We don't always stay until close, but it depends. We can always make it to closing in the off season, but sometimes leave around 10 or 11 if the parks are open late.
We use my DD's nap to kind of take a bit of a break. We'll leave half the party to have a Mickey Premium Bar or Dole Whip in the shade while half of us do headliner rides, and then swap. Works great!

This is our plan. My kids won't nap well if we go back to a hotel, but they will fall asleep in the stroller for a couple hours. Neither DH or I are nappers, so I feel like going back to the room will not be worth it. We plan to use that time to do Child Swap and sit around and relax in the park. But we'll also be there during low season when the park hours are only 10-8. A 9-8 day, with breaks for meals, and taking it slowly in general, doesn't seem too busy to me.

We take our break sometime between 2 - 3 & return to the parks between 4 - 6.

If the made hasn't come and we need fresh towels we will ask the front desk.

We leave about 2 then return about 4:30. Only one time did we return and our room was not made up. I used the DND sign in the room, then when we left we stopped by the front desk to ask that the room be cleaned. :goodvibes Sometimes DD5 does not take a nap, but I make her lay on the bed and let go of the stimulation she has incurred. If I don't do this, it makes for a cranky night. Me? I rest my feet for a spell, rarely actually take a nap, but just get a much needed break. Dbf tends to go for a swim or catch a power nap. We usually wake about 4 a.m. (well, not Dbf :rotfl2:) and we close the park most nights. I like that we leave during the hottest part of the day, then return as the sun goes down! Ahhhh ......those summer nights!! :goodvibes:cloud9:

We go from rope drop to close every day when we visit, but we still take an afternoon "break" somewhere inside the park. At DLR it's usually the Tiki Room or the Golden Horseshoe and at DCA it used to be watching Golden Dreams (now gone) or Aladdin. Our boys are 12 and 14 now, so they can handle it well, but we did that even when they were younger. The only time we have ever left the parks while they were still open was when we went to WDW and did 10 park days (between Universal and WDW)...that trip required a few naps to keep going.
