What time do you arrive at Typhoon Lagoon?

We are heading there today and we are expecting peak crowds; park opens officially at 9am - does the rope drop early? Any advantage of standing in the sun early?

If I'm going to the water parks, I show up about 30 minutes before the 'official' opening time. I've usually been let in the gates early, but the internal 'rope drop' has usually been right on time. Your mileage may vary, of course - I don't go horribly often so they might change things around.
