What time do the parks ACTUALLY close?

We've only got one day, May 19, and the parks close at 7pm. We plan to see Candelabration at park close. All I've been able to find on the timing is that the show is about 11 min. long. OK, so it's over about 7:15pm. Will the shops on Main Street be open later? What time does Disneyland Park actually close? We want to linger awhile if possible.

I've decided to book a table service restaurant for AFTER park close in the D. Village or at the Disney Hotel. We don't want to be rushed getting there, so what time would you suggest booking? Do you have to arrive before the actual booking time to check in? Thanks!

The shops stay open for a while once the park shut. This is for Main Street though other lands may already be shut off.

Maybe book a meal for around 8pm or a little after?? it really depends on when you like to eat & what times are available. I would advise getting to the restaurant a few minutes before your booking, if your table isn't ready you can always have a drink at the bar.

The stores will be open for an hour after park closing, although most guests will have left by that time :)

Yes good idea to wait around after park closing as you will catch Mickey waving goodbye to Guest from above the Train Station. The only problem with booking a meal for 8.00 pm is that you shouldn't expect even with a reservation slip to be served straight away. Once the park closes at 7.00pm everyone has the same idea to go to the Village and hotels for dinner.

OK, lets say I book 8pm at Innoventions. How long can I expect to wait with a reservation? How long have you waited for TS with a res.?

I had a reservation for Cafe Mickey for 7.45 when the park closed at 7pm, Candleabration was over by 7.20. We got to Cafe Mickey at 7.40, and by 7.50 we were seated.

I think the longest I've ever waited with a reservation has been ten minutes, even over Christmas when it was really busy.
