"What Time Do The Park Buses Begin?"

I know that is a question that gets asked from time to time here on the TPAS board,so I was up early a couple of days this trip and decided to see exactly when the first bus for each Park arrived at my resort.

I grabbed some reading material(Hidden Mickeys book) and went to the bus stops at 6:00 AM.

Finding doing this interesting makes me a TOTAL WDW Geek I think!lol

I was at All-Star Sports so remember this was just a "snapshot" of one particular resort on 2 particular mornings.

Day 1

6:18 AM----Magic Kingdom
6:56 AM----Magic Kingdom
6:58 AM----Magic Kingdom
7:00 AM----Magic Kingdom
7:01 AM----Hollywood Studios
7:12 AM----Magic Kingdom
7:12 AM----Epcot
7:16 AM----Animal Kingdom
7:16 AM----Hollywood Studios
7:17 AM----That's one hour of my life I won't get back!lol

Day 2

6:17 AM----Magic Kingdom
6:30 AM----Magic Kingdom
6:38 AM----Magic Kingdom

I think last year they began right at 5:00 AM.

I checked again one morning on my recent trip at All-Star Sports for "first bus times".

The new Arrival Boards are awesome!

I was really surprised to see the first MK bus come rolling in at 6:09 AM!

MK I understand because of early ADRs at Chef Mickeys and the like, but what possible reason would you have for going to DHS/AK at 7 in the morning aside from EMHs?

Some people want to be "first."
Some people want to be "family of the day" (which amounts to virtually nothing anywhere but MK.)
Some want to head to one of the resorts in those areas for breakfast.

Are those boards at all the resorts? Specifically, did they install therm at Pop? I know last year they were testing the system with the transportation CM with the iPad.

They weren't at POP as of a week ago when I was down there,but it looks like they are speeding along on installation at all Resorts so i would think POP would get theirs sooner rather than later.

This was at All Star Sports??? They have the new boards now!? If so you should post these pictures in the All Star Sports Resort Thread, too cool! I have not seen that reported.

Yes,they were installed about 2 weeks ago.

Music and Movies have theirs now also.

Great suggestion about the Sports Thread.

The buses run like this every day, regardless of which parks (if any) offer AM EMH.

The only time the buses will run earlier is if (on rare days) a park or two will open EXTRA early for a 7:00AM EMH opening, or if a park is offering a 6:00AM "opening" on a very special "24 Hour Day event."

The very tired and often-repeated Disney Myth of, "The buses beginning operation
one hour before park opening," simply will not die.
(Likely not helped by the fact that the bad info can be found on Disney's official website.)

I often post that the buses start running every day by about 6:30AM.
That's a reasonable enough time to cover it for most guests.

I "think" it was AM EMH at DAK that day with 9:00 AM openings at the other 3 Parks.

On the days that I have checked during my trips,Magic Kingdom is the only Park to see the first bus arrive by the often mentioned 6:30 AM start time-the other 3 Parks' first bus has arrived sometime after 6:30 AM.

Well,on this last trip,I was up early anyway waiting on the first Mears bus to Universal,so I checked while I was waiting.

On a side note,Mickey REALLY didn't want us going to Universal that day!

About halfway there,a truck pulled alongside the bus blowing his horn and pointing at the back tires.

One of them was SHREDDED,but the Driver just turned on his flashers and proceeded on to Uni-Mickey didn't win!lol

(Also,on the way back from Universal,the Mears Driver made us "apologize" to Mickey before he would take us onto WDW property!!!!LOL)
