What time do the gates shut?

I know that in August the park shuts at 11pm, but what it the latest you can enter the park? My plane gets in at 1930 so I reckon I could be at the gates for 9pm.

I just want to nip in and buy an annual pass to save time for the next day.

Hi you will still get into the park but the Annual Passport office closes earlier. When we were there last year it closed at 8pm.

I may be wrong but I am sure someone else can dig up the info for you.

Just found this in another thread, it was in an email the poster had received from DLRP.

We kindly inform you that the Annual Passport Office is open from 11am until 7pm from Monday to Friday, and from 10am until 8pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Oh well, nevermind. Does it take long to sign up for AP's? I don't want to lose valuable Disney time!!!

We were in the Passport Bureau for about an hour ~ after filling in the forms you have your photo taken and your card is made. You then choose your free gift. When we left I couldn't believe we were in there so long but the CM who was attending to us was extremely pleasant and spent a long time chatting to us. Perhaps others didn't take so long in there but I would allow that sort of time. :)

We hoped to be able to do the same when we went in June, but the passport office closed an hour before the park did then, so we didn't have time but we went to Disney village and had a wander round before our meal at cafe Mickey’s.
The next day we got day tickets but didn't go to the passport office until about 5.00 when we had done fantasyland and seen the parade, it took a good 45 mins if not a bit more for 4 passes.
The passport office was very quiet at this time so it may be worth waiting until late afternoon to go in there.

I remember being about the same for the 5 of us :)

I suppose it depends on how many people are in your group. When we went it was only two of us and it took about half hour. Looking at the other replies I'd allow about 15-20 minutes per person to work out how long it'd take.
But it never seems like a long time as they're really friendly in there. I suppose its the air conditioning!!

That's a very valid point ~ there are 5 of us. :)
