Hi.

If the MK opens at 7 am, what time will the resort busses start running? I would like to be on a bus stop at SSR no later than 5:30 am but not sure there would be a bus.

If busses do not run that early, Does anyone have experience with using Uber between Christmas and New Years and have them available for pick up that early?

Thank you.

I've only done a 7 AM MK opening over Easter. I was staying at the Swan, and I got to the bus stop by 6:15. A bus came by 6:30, and we arrived at MK at 6:45, which was plenty of time to line up for the very odd 7 AM welcome show...in the dark! 7 AM rope drop is very different than 8 or 9 AM rope drop. There was hardly anyone there.

Buses will start a bit before 6:00.

Being at the bus stop by 6:00 is plenty early.

Thank you both very much. Two years ago we stayed at BLT and on December 27 we were already walking down Main Street at 6:40 am so Im worried it will be opened earlier like two years ago. I wanted to be in front of the crowds waiting to get in.

I guess Ill just find out when the first bus should begin running and count on making sure Im on it but really trust the dis to know better than the CM at the desk. Is it usually an hour before park opening? SSR has so many internal stops, Im worried it will take me 30 minutes just to get out of the resort.

I find that first bus or two gets there really fast also. generally there is not too many people to let into the bus and there is almost no traffic yet. you'll probably be there really early even catching it at 6.

Thank you so much! I will count on taking the bus then and hope for the best. I am very prepared, I think, for the crowds as much as I can be and just dont want to be meased up by the busses when I dont have to be. Ill count on being on the first one.

Never, ever ask a resort CM about transportation - or any non-transportation CM, for that matter. They will almost certainly give you the "buses start 1 hour before the park opens" nonsense. Generally, buses start around 6:30, but when the park opens at 7:00, they start around 5:45 or 6:00.

Even staying at SSR, being at the bus stop at 6:00 or a bit before will get you there in plenty of time.

Thank you. After reading all these responses my plan will be to take the bus from SSR. Ill plan on being at the stop at 5:40 am. What do you all think?
