We traveled home on Dec. 24,2005 Notice we received said 11:30 am for pickup time. It did say be ready 15 mins prior to that (11:15am) We really did NOT want to leave resort I was nerves and we were ready to go 11:00am Sadley. I saw a magical express bus leave just as we got there 11:00am. The bell man said dont worry thats NOT your bus. The bus was RIGHT on TIME 11:30 am. My question how close was your bus from the time they told you? Our was RIGHT ON TIME very cool. I wish though, I would have told them departsure time was 30 mins. later as we really wanted to rent surry bike really only needed 20 mins on them. The bus that picked us up had to make two other stops. It took no time at all to do this. There was ALOT of room left on the bus after making these stops. We did get to the air port in MORE than enough time. From what I gather the buses are running about every 30 mins. durning holidays. Wish I would have checked with bell hop as they have a list WHEN/TIME next bus is to be there. The bus drivers also have to sign in with bell hops as to what time they get to the resort. (I quess incase quest are late or guest are way to early like I was (11:00 am) Whats why they knew that was not our bus. I thought they were great time wise... right on time. Was this the case for you all? :chat:

I've used DME three times now...every time they have been right there at the time they said they would be there.

ours worked out OK too. you don't want to chance waiting another 30 min and missing flight because of unforseen problems. they set DME up this way so you have plenty of time if a problem occurs. If you wait for the next bus and its full then what.

Our bus leaving this December from the Poly was about a half of an hour late, the next group had started to come.
There was a woman there with a clip board check with us to make sure we were all suppose to be on the 4:15 bus and not the 4:45 bus. When the bus got there, she checked our notices as we walked over to the bus again just to be sure we belonged on the bus. It was a good thing too as we were the last stop and the bus was packed! Even so we made it to the airport with plenty of time.
We checked in at the counter for US Air and then went into the concourse had dinner. I can not recall the name of the restaurant, but we had a sit down meal, nice, lesiurely. We then went to our gate and still had a bit of a wait.

Our bus was about 30 min late last sunday, mainly due to the marathon running that morning. We still made it to the airport in plenty of time though. :earsboy:

I read that you have to depart from the resort 3 hours before your departure flight. Is that true?

Pick up times with DME are non-negotiable.

Depending on what stop you are on the route dictates how early the bus will be. Typically for the first stop on the route, the bus will get there a bit early, and leave right on time. After that, the bus might only show up a minute or two early.

The point of the 15 minutes prior is for a bunch of reasons:

-To get you there, and READY, so there aren't any hold ups when the bus needs to leave.
-To avoid any discrepancies between your watch and the drivers watch.

And when they say 15 minutes early, BE THERE!!! The CM with the clip board may be a new thing since my experience in early December. I got there 5 minutes before my scheduled pick-up (I know, I'm a person who didn't read to be there 15 minutes ahead), only to watch my bus leaving. Bell Services said they'd arrived and left early. They didn't have names of who they were to pick up, only numbers, and since I was solo, they only needed to miscount by one. "No problem", I was told, "Just wait for the next bus-should be around 1/2 hour". Well, you guessed it, after another hour, no ME bus had come, even after repeated phone calls. This was my 3rd time using ME, first problem, but you can be sure next trip I'll be 15 minutes early.
