What time can you check in at DC?

When does it actually open? I think I read that lines start forming before they open to check in and get a good early dolphin time.

Any suggestions on what time we should arrive?

I would call and ask what time you can check in on your date. I seem to remember it was 8 am when we went (both times in Sept) but that it said something different on website so I was glad I called.

remember that if you check in early, you'll get an early swim-time and the weather might be cold. I had my time around 1 and checked in around 10

We were all set to arrive at 8am, but we had some family phone call drama that delayed us in getting there until about 8:15am. There was a line out the door at that point. It moved along rather quickly and we were all checked in and on our way to our "tour" of the park before 8:30am. We had the second dolphin swim of the day at 9:40am. We played a little around the park before our swim was to start. The most frustrating part to me was not being able to go and play right from the start. They make you wait until 9am to access the swimming areas. Since we had eaten breakfast already, there wasn't much to do for about 20 minutes.....so we just sat there people watching. It was a great day though.

I would call first and then try to get there about 30 minutes before opening. Than way you can pick your swim time. If you don't want an early time, just tell them what time you prefer. I love DC!!

On our 3 previous visits we have arrived at around 07:30. Photo ID is usually within 5 mins.........assigned to cabana, then time for a little breakfast. In all..............the greatest day on earth !!!!!!!!!

I'm getting so excited reading about DC! We are counting the days. 12 to go! We have a reservation, but I'll be watching the weather and maybe changing our reservation for the warmest day of our visit. I'm worried about being cold. I'm glad to know we can choose a later swim time.
