What time can I book online?

Need to book our trip for next year end of next month. Just got back from out 1st DVC trip last week That 1 I booked over the phone. This next trip is extra special because its our youngest's 5th golden birthday (he also happens to share his bday with Walt Disney!) So we plan to be there the day after Thanksgiving thru Dec. 6th. I hear this is the busiest Dvc week...
So, i need to book @ home at SSR on Dec. 28th (also would like to change at 7 mos but know ill have to waitlist). What time online can I do that? Isn't the website available 24/7? I'm confused on how that works. Tia!

Online booking starts at 8am EST each day. It isn't 24/7, unfortunately.

Online booking is available almost 24/7 -- it goes down for an hour or so in the middle of the night for maintenance. If you are booking right at the 11-month or 7-month window, those windows open at 8am eastern time.

In other words, if you want to book a stay using home resort points with a check-in date of Nov 28, you can book that stay starting at 8am eastern time on Dec 28. If you want to switch to a different resort 7 months out, you can try to make that reservation starting at 8am eastern time on April 28.

It has happened, confirmed by a DVC Guest Satisfaction Cast Member that booking for 11 and 7 months windows is SOMETIMES available as early as 6am.

So you if there is a hard to get category at 11 months, or you are booking at the 7 month window - I suggest making it a long morning starting at 5:50am or so.

It doesn't always happen, but it HAS happened in the past.

Has it happened recently? I remember a report or two about someone being able to book an 11-month reservation before 8am in the very early days of online booking. I assumed at the time that IT was probably tinkering with the new software. I can't recall anyone reporting being able to do this since that time. Rolling the 11/7-month windows forward each day would be controlled automatically by software so it's hard to imagine that the start time would vary occasionally.
