Was just wondering when everyone will be heading out on Friday this year...I really want to get my DD the HP laptop from Walmart, so it looks like it's going to be extra early for me this year...so what time are you heading out & where are you going???

Get out of my head, it's crowded enough in there !!
I was just going to post the exact same question !!

Well, one of our malls opens at 3:00 am Friday morning. I don't know if all the stores open at that time, but I was there last night and the Disney store will open at 3:00 and I think KB Toys (I slipped and forgot to check their time). I wouldn't mind being there that early. But my mom and sisters aren't too keen on the idea. I may just have to go without them and then meet up with them later after all my shopping is finished at 7:00 am. Most of it is done already anyway. I'm trying to work on my list to see exactly what's left to buy and what stores I want to hit.

I'm still debating on which store to go to, Walmart or Best Buy ?! I'm also wondering if I should go out earlier than usual ?! I've usually had good luck leaving around 3:30, but knowing people stood in line for 8 or more hours in the cold to get an XBox, sheesh, who knows ?! It will be interesting to see everyone's replies !

I am planning to hit Wal-Mart, which opens here at 5am. I have no idea how early to get there.. I was just planning to get there about that time- can you tell I've never done BF before?
How early do you all recommend?

If you arrive @ 5:00am do not plan on setting foot in there until 6 or so....that's how long the line will be...as far as how early to get there, it depends on what you are trying to get. I really want the laptop, so I think I may get there around 1 or so and then wait in my car to see how many people show up. I know call me crazy...

Since Walmart opens at 5am, we'll be going there first, and then to Target which opens at 6am. We've got our eyes on the portable DVD player for $79 and the $3.44 DVDs at Walmart. Then there is a ton of stuff I want at Target (for myself :rotfl: ). I went to the store to check out the Woolrich blankets they are going to have on sale for $25 (usually $49.99) and I like them so I've already picked my color! :Pinkbounc

Last year we got to Walmart at 5 of 5am and the line moved incredibly fast to get in (I'm sure b/c people were running!)... I doubt it took us more than 3-5 minutes to get in the door.

Count me as another one that has NEVER EVER gone out early on Black Friday - I want the Gameboy Advance bundle at Target - they open at 6:00am - I guess I should get there around 4-5ish -- UGH, I might as well stay up all night, LOL!!! :rotfl:

I'll be up around 3 to shower and get ready and be out of the house by 3: 45 .. will be at Walmart by 4:00-- I always get the other things that I want to get anyways and things that I can pricematch from the other sale ads.. My walmart is open 24 hours so they usually stay open but around 5 they start wheeling the pallets out with the sale items and they keep them guarded :rotfl: and keep the saran wrap on them.. I usually get the other things first and then around 5:30 I head to the pallet of the item I want and this year will send my BF to the other pallet and Im done by 6 and head straight to the checkout.. Then Im planning on running to Michaels to hopefully get my coupon ( my friends daughter works there and apparantly they are handing out 40% off total purchases that can be used all day-- hoping this is right cause I need some scrapbooking stuff).. Im gonna get the coupon and leave.. I'll come back after my other shopping is done.. Deciding on whether Im heading to Target or straight to the mall from there.. I need a few things from Hollister and hoping they might have a sale going on.. Then will head back to Michaels .. Now these plans can change at the drop of a dime.. especially if I hear of a good sale somewhere else :rotfl2:

My sister and I will be at Kohls by 4:45am...we started at Kohls last year and while the line was pretty long it moved quickly as soon as the door opened......

Black Friday is a family affair. My 2 sisters and I plan and scheme going over all the local flyers. We can usually hit 4 or more of the big stores and get everything on our lists, starting at the local Wal mart. We leave by 4:30 and no one is ever late.....we all love to do this and talk about it all year long. (We are truely shopaholics.) We are usually eating breakfast by 9:00 am. Then I'm off to work at ten. Good luck all ...may all your shopping dreams come true.:goodvibes

i did not see this thread but i am going for the same thing, WM is opening at 5am, will be there at 4 my dtr will be so suprised on xmas, i cannot wait

We are planning to be out of the house sometime around 4:30. The mall opens at 5, want to get to Sears and Walmart first. Then head over to Target and then to Walgreens. About that time should be ready for breakfast and break down what we have already gotten. Seeing the other post about Michael's I might just have to head over there and see if they are doing the coupon thing here too. I really would like to get somethings over there. All in all we should be back home somewhere around noon..just in time for me to take a nap. The kids are spending Thanksgiving with their Dad so they should be coming home sometime that evening. It should be a great day and I am already planning....hoping the ads will be in my hot little hands tomorrow for some checking over...gotta love BF!

You know most of the great buys you want can be found at the retailers online web sight. So I just sit in my comfy chair and shop away in my robe and slippers.

I'll be sure to dream happy shopping dreams for you all from my nice warm bed!!! Have fun guys!

Just realized that Walmart is starting at 5-- I always thought in past it was 6-- now I have to rethink my plan.. :goodvibes

We want to get the 19" LCD computer MONITOR (not a whole computer package) that Best Buy has. We're thinking that it's not a "hot item". How bad is Best Buy on BF? What time should we get there, if we're not looking for a "hot item"? :confused3
